The only two things that in my view keeps them from scoring a 10 are, a greater fruit variety/selection during breakfast and secondly, I missed a little garden with plants, flowers and shades for an afternoon refreshment. .

Spotless, exquisite, calm, excellent staff treatment, outsourced laundry service, complimentary slippers, snacks, drinks every day, l’occitane soaps, balcony and/or private terrace with greenery and sun chair in superior rooms. It is a little piece of heaven (only 30 rooms) on Melakan soil.

Location: 2min walks from Jonker Walk. It’s definitely for tourist who wants to discover the charms of old Malacca vibes. Building: located inside of ancient colonial building with Peranakan decoration; definitely a must-have boutique hotel to stay. Service: The amenities, the staffs , ample parking areas, the breakfast buffet; everything on top-notches.

Location was excellent. The hotel decor was beatiful and included beautiful floors, furniture and paintings. Breakfast was excellent, with some cereals and also included a choice of Malaysian style cooked meals. The roti with sambal sauce was delicious. Coffee at breakfast and each afternoon was a bonus.

Liked everything except I felt the breakfast buffet offerings could have been better for price of hotel. The buffet didn’t look too appetising so we decided to grab croissants from local bakery instead. Not a big issue and it wouldn’t put me off staying again.

Beautiful decor, beds are very comfortable. AC in room is very effective and also has ceiling fan. Bathrooms are very spacious and rooms are tastefully decorated and were immaculately clean during our stay. Great location, walking distance to most sights. Helpful and friendly staff throughout hotel. Would recommend.

The Liu Men was an absolute dream. Very friendly staff, excellent service (thanks to Zul among others), good breakfast. It is in a perfect location, everything is within walking distance. The architecture and design in particular are of the highest quality with absolute attention to the smallest detail.

There is a mild sewage smell in our suite. You can hear the chattering and bantering of other guests seated in the restaurant area. Early in the morning you can hear prayers coming from a nearby mosque. That’s the reason why they gave ear plugs! Also the stains on the chairs in the room should be cleaned up.

The location was fantastic. The staff are efficient and pleasant.

The hotel is located within the district of Jonker Street but stayed away from the hustle and bustle of the busiest area. One can easily walk to some museums and also many nice restaurants nearby. Some scenic spots are also within 10 minutes walk.

There was nothing I did not like about the Hotel! The only thing to consider is that they are located close to a mosque, thus the praying call can be loud for some rooms, this is of course the same case for other hotels around the area and generally across Malaysia.

Our stay was excellent! The hotel is beautiful and they really pay attention to every detail. The decoration was lovey and the staff very attentive. We enjoyed breakfast and the complementary drinks in the afternoon. The location is very good, within walking distance to the main attractions, yet it was not loud to rest! Our room was very clean, comfortable and equipped with toiletries and all the amenities to provide an exceptional experience.

In house food wasn't as good as we expected. This was made more obvious when compared to what we managed to find in the surrounding restaurants and cafes during our stay. Light sleepers should be aware of early morning prayer calls from the nearby mosque as well as loud tourists trishaws spilling out of the Jonker night market on weekends.

Very welcoming staff all across the hotel. Excellent room with lovely amenities provided. Right in the historical heart of Malacca. Will recommend to anyone visiting Malacca.
