Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandThe snorkeling trip they could organize was unbelievably expensive: 300 ringgit for snorkel and fins and a 10 minute boat ride to the next island, they could do something about that.
A nice beach, calm water. Lots of day visitors, just makes it interesting. There's a monitor lizard that strolls through the beach in the morning. There's no real snorkeling there. Loved the restaurant, spend a lot of time just sitting there watching the day and evening go by. Quick trip from Kota Kinabalu.

United StatesThere is no real snorkeling! The small size of the beach. Beach & the whole island should be cleaner! Unfortunately there was lots of rubbish. The pathway to the Sunset View point should be repaired.
The view from the room, which was huge albeit decorated in bad taste. The peacefulness of the island in the evening.

MalaysiaNot much not to like. Was lovely.
Food was great, staff were amazing - just the right amount of attentive. Beach was stunning and we could see tropical fish, reef sharks and rays from the beach. Stunning sunsets too. Rooms were really lovely, clean and well appointed.

MalaysiaThe bathroom area had curtains, but you could see through them at night with the light on, so it didn't allow much privacy.
The villa was huge and overlooked the private beach.

ColombiaThe downside of this place, I’d say, is the rubbish in the sea. I know it’s not entirely the hotel’s fault, but cleaning the water should be a priority for them. As guests, we ended up doing it ourselves because it’s unpleasant to swim among plastic and all kinds of garbage. Additionally, drink prices in the restaurant were quite inflated. I understand it’s an island, but at a nearby store not part of the hotel, prices were about half as much.
The room was really good, big, cozy, amazing view and ammenties. Staff were super kind and helpful all the time. really enjoyed the breakfast options. good place if you want to enjoy in the beach during the day and relax in your room at night.

MalaysiaThere was muddy area at the private beach and the beach wasn’t clean. Totally understood due to the storm but just at the private section, it should be cleaned up. The pool was not clean and probably it is hardly used so not maintained. The grass was overgrown.
The Villa is excellent and the staffs are very friendly.

MalaysiaThe noise from the room next door was very noticeable, and we could hear every step from the room above us. While the food was tasty, it was expensive, and some dishes came in very small portions. Additionally, the water heater and shower in our room weren’t working properly, which was disappointing.
The beach is stunning, though a bit rocky in some areas. The food was fresh and delicious. We chose a room close to the beach, which was convenient, but it can get noisy in the mornings as visitors start arriving around 8 or 9 AM. The resort itself is beautiful, and having a private beach made the stay more enjoyable. A short stay is more than enough to experience the best the resort has to offer.

amazing staff. beautiful island. affordable as not private but it was fun seeing the day trippers. they were gone by 4 and there is private beach city and a private pool so no one gets in the way. amazing guitarists playing for us in the restaurant at supper. really really lovely. really good food for dinner there is a fast food outlet that does local cheap fare for lunch and a shop to buy crisps and beer for your own cocktail hour in your apt or villa. monitor lizard 'gerry' was cool. massive bugger. such a lovely environment. 🙏

United StatesThe room had no mirrors or storage or hooks to hang towels and clothes. The bathroom was odd as it was on a lower level and have to descend about 4 steps down and although there was a handrail, may pose a fall risk in the dark or anyone with mobility concern. Breakfast was ok but since it was set meals, not much variety if you stay for several days. Beach has a lot of trash and they make good effort to clean it daily but there was still a lot of trash left. The private beach was nice but no service to buy or order food and drinks or towel service. I had to walk all the way back to my room or to the restaurant to get drinks and snacks, which was a distance away. There was a staff at the beach but he was just sitting under the shade, did not come around to offer food or beverage service.
Spacious room with a balcony overlooking the sea. Room smells Heavenly when we first arrived and ac already working and it felt great after the hot boat ride. The private beach was nice as the island could get crowded during the day. All the staff was nice and friendly. Food tasted authentic.

LuxembourgNo working WiFi even in reception, crowds of tourists all day long and trash. One day they were changing fuel that is used to make electricity there and spilled a lot of gasoline into the water. We were snorkeling at the time, got cover in this oil…not to mention the poor reef and animals… we brought this to attention of Marine staff but they seems to care more about selling the tickets than actually preserving the nature there. The hotel is to close and connected with the rest of tourist facilities - it feels like you’re part of a daily trip rather than resort guests
Rooms were clean and spacious. The food in the restaurant was also quite good. We got help with the luggage.

IrelandThere is a strange setup to the hotel/area. Some parts are private and some are public. The pool was in the public section and was not clean. There were cigarette buts everywhere. The restaurant had tasty food but choice of drinks was limited.
Room was fantastic, the beds were very comfortable. The staff were nice and provided us with a packed breakfast as we needed to leave early for our flight. The hotel responded via email promptly too.

United KingdomOnly one restaurant which does a good variety of food. We stayed 3 nights and didn’t leave Manukan and it was good for that but much longer and we would have gotten bored. Mix up with the snorkelling gear due to staff. However the manager did his best to fix this before we left.
Hill top lodges were amazing. Clean, spacious, leads right onto the private beach. Also far enough from the day tourists to feel separate. Cheaper than other resorts in these islands.

United KingdomWarning ..if you are not fit do not go to the hillside Villas as the steps are VERY steep. Only one restaurant with fixed menu so limited in choice for evening meal as we stayed 4 nights.
lovely comfortable room with extra seating area. good air con. Room very near to the reception area and not too near to the main walk way where the day trippers filed in. Breakfast catered for every nationality choices. The private beach had sunbeds and shades and we never had a problem getting one! The beach was clean and the sea warm and a safe snorkelling area was protected by coloured buoys. Many boats came to the island each day so safe area was appreciated and this also kept the coral from boat damage in the "safe" area. Many beautiful fish and healthy coral.
