Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe only thing that would have made the experience better would be a mosquito net. We got badly mauled overnight by the mozzies and woke up with tiny bumps everywhere.
Staff were lovely and always smiling. The area is teeming with wildlife. We saw Proboscis monkeys, a flying lemur and Grey Langurs all within 50m of our treehouse. Sunset on the beach was beautiful and the food was delicious.

AustraliaBreakfast was awful. Hard boiled eggs had to be sent back twice because the eggs were uncooked. And the English breakfast was stone cold. The location is beautiful, but it is quite far out and long car trips to get anywhere. Worth it though.
Beautiful view from our treehouse, and got to see proboscis monkeys from the cafe. The staff were lovely and helpful. Walking distance to the Sarawak cultural village which is worth visiting.

FinlandThere could have been a hammock or some kind of sun chairs on the patio/balcony of the cabin, to hang out and watch the nature around you
Closeness to the nature and trails. You could go for a hike and see monkeys right from your doorstep. The jungle pool was really refreshing, especially after a hike. The staff was very friendly and helpful

CanadaI was given incorrect information about nearby activities and the beach was not all that inviting.
The location by the water and in the jungle was extraordinary. I really enjoyed the hike nearby, the bungalow I stayed in was clean and comfortable, and staff was very friendly.

GermanyThe 2nd tree house we stayed in was a bit oldish, water from shower flooding the whole bathroom and some holes in floor and ceiling, drawer hard to open, etc. nothing deal breaking but the place is quite expensive so you higher expectations. There are no vegetarian options on the menu in their restaurant which is a pity because their food is nice. The great kitchen staff still managed to cook us something which was great but I couldn't eat the same 1-2 dishes for days, so I suggest this could be improved easily
The resort is an amazing place with direct access to safe beaches, jungle trails, a jungle pool and a restaurant. Treehouses are great while they vary in view and "newness" of their facilities. There are monkeys all around and beautiful nature and staff is super friendly. Not much to complain

New ZealandWe were staying in their Treehouse cabin. There's hardly any view...seems the trees surrounding the treehouses are overgrown with branches everywhere...it's good to maintain the eco system of the nature but some trimmings of the branches would be great for stayers to have some views as the rates per night is pretty costly. The walking tracks need attention as we have already told the front desk staff...tracks are dangerous with falling trees and branches..plus some areas the signage is confusing...like some junctions there is similar sign to both ways..which is confusing... That has to be looked into...so guests who want(s) to walk can self navigate easily without getting lost.
The treehouse was a good idea ..such a wonderful experience which I will consider doing again provided improvements are taken . The cafe /kitchen staff are awesome!! The check in staff are also great... generally ...not bad place..loved it.

Back to nature !! Imagine waking up to the sounds of the rainforest in your own private cabin. That was my reality at Permai Rainforest Resort in Kuching! Three days of pure jungle bliss: swimming in hidden pools, spotting wildlife (hello, proboscis monkeys!), and disconnecting from the digital world.

United KingdomThe food wasn’t up to much, and there isn’t much other choice locally. Take bug spray if you are susceptible to being bitten.
We got cabin 5, which has an excellent view over the bay. The cabin is big and has a wonderful balcony. The steps up and down are a bit challenging if you don’t like heights, and the room rocks a bit with any movements inside or big winds outside. The fly netting was good, and we had a mosquito coil which was useful. We slept with the balcony doors open to the sounds of the sea, and woke to the sounds of the birds and monkeys. The resort has a lovely pool fed by a spring, two small beaches and some excellent forest walks. We did the walk to the waterfall and bathed with turtles. We loved our stay so much we extended our booking. This is not a luxurious resort but it is an excellent nature reserve and exactly what we were looking for.

AustraliaUnfortunately, the stream-fed pool was closed for maintenance during our stay & we couldn't go swimming there.
Unique treehouse experience. Woke up on the first morning to see a troupe of monkeys in the trees in front of our verandah. Complimentary breakfast was tasty & the staff accommodated our vegetarian requests.

United KingdomIt is a bit run down in places. Maybe because we visited during off season/monsoon. The watersports and excursions were all not happening due to the rainy season but they did let us know this in advance. The mattresses on the floor for kids were not super comfy- probably fine for younger kids but ours are a bit older and so didn’t find them very comfy and very thin blankets as well. But it was good of them to help out and put us all together! Restaurant food is great and pretty good value- maybe a bit lacking in variety over more than a 3 day stay. And would really like to have option of fresh fruit salad for breakfast or something similar :)
We stayed in Treehouse No5 and it had an amazing Seaview. We were also lucky enough to have proboscis monkeys in the trees all around the treehouse one morning which was incredible! The staff were helpful and let us put two mattresses on the floor so we didn’t have to split up with our two kids. Good restaurant and lovely staff there. The beach was incredible/ open and sandy with the best waves to body board on!! And can hire a body board from the boat shack.lovely walk to waterfall (although quite challenging- it is marked but no ‘path’ as such just walking through rainforest but really recommend if you are relatively good fitness. Our kids managed it fine and loved it. Nice jungle pool as well. Can walk to Sarawak Cultural Village

AustraliaNo assistance to carry luggage up the 30 ladder like steps to the treehouse - it was hard work but worth it. Very limited meal options for vegetarians, I walked to the nearby Damai Beach village for better options.
I had a treehouse, which was just a 2 minute walk to the jungle pool. The treehouse was comfortable, the balcony was great to sit & listen to nature, the birds & the waves. The staff were very friendly & helpful.

CanadaThe shower didn't really have hot water, however this did not really matter as it was so hot outside. Blankets were a bit short for someone who is over 6 feet tall.
Amazing location with 2 beautiful and quiet beaches. We saw so many proboscis monkeys just within the resort grounds. Breakfast was filling and other meals were of decent quality and not over priced. Beds were comfortable, air conditioning worked well. It was very clean inside considering we are in the middle of a jungle! We also liked that we could still walk to other restaurants for different sunsets, food and views. Staff were friendly and helpful.
