Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MalaysiaThis hotel has an average overall performance but comes with some drawbacks. Cons: 1. There is no free parking; the fee is RM15, but parking spaces are limited. 2. Toothbrushes are not provided proactively; guests need to bring their own or request one from the front desk. 3. The bathroom does not have a bidet, which may be inconvenient for some guests. 4. The location is average, which may not be ideal for easy access to nearby attractions. If parking, bathroom facilities, or location are important factors, you may want to consider other options.

MalaysiaIt will be perfect if indoor slippers and washing machine are provided.
We stayed in this hotel many times. We love it so much. It is charming, clean and quiet even though it is located next to the main road. The staffs are polite and professional. The bed is quite comfortable. The bathroom is perfect. There is a drinking water machine at each floor which is a plus. Across the street there is a public laundry shop which makes it very convenient for those who stay longer. By the way, the monorail station is very close too!

Malaysia1.Not seniors friendly-dark staircase, almost invisible lift control, rooms too dark, no bidet, no ergonomic luggage placement. 2.Room is tiny without basic furniture like wardrobe (perhaps a low table will suffice for luggage placement), chair, table. 3.LACKS Basic details that even cheap hotels provide - slippers, coffee and kettle, toiletries. 4. Impractical lighting controls, aircond controls only at the entrance and always seem to revert to 28°c 5. Poor sound proofing
Clean. Friendly team. Easy parking.

United StatesWhere to start... when I think of "boutique hotel", I think of a more catered experience, with style. This place has the style, but it seems like its great reviews are from Instagrammers. It looks pretty! But there are so many missing little things that the experience, even for the low cost, just isn't worth it. ROOM: I chose one of the larger rooms, hopeful for a relaxing break. Nicely they let me check in early so I could get a nap. Less nice are the absurd lightswitches (a master switch so you have to fiddle with everything if you want to be able to turn the bathroom light on at night), the lack of basic amenities (as others remark: no water heater, no bidet, no mini fridge, not even a nice toiletries set which I would expect from a boutique hotel!), cheap bedding (single waxy sheets surrounding a pilled duvet), and, worst, thr loudest doors in any hotel I've been to. I actually asked the room next to me twice (different inhabitants) to close their doors more softly at night. The room just didn't seem soundproofed, and I expressly desire this, more than almost anything, when traveling. BREAKFAST: I don't understand the. high ratings here. No buffet, you pick from set options, fine. But the layer of cheapness I felt during my stay goes to an absurd level here: you get one cup or coffee (or juice or whatever). You pay for any extra. I found this laughable, even far less "boutique"-y hotels would not skimp here. STAFF: the staff were nice and lovely but seemingly untrained for certain levels of guest care--I realized quickly they were not great sources for tourist tips.
Good style, as many mention. Great location--Chow Kit is cool and off the tourist track

United KingdomI can understand that some travellers might find the rooms small and dislike the lack of storage facility but for me the ambience was more important.
If you don’t want to stay in a corporate looking hotel this is there place for you. I loved the location, with lots of local flavour but still central and away from tourist traps. I loved the decor, art, attention to detail and the general atmosphere. And great value for money.

GermanyThe staff is not friendly. I booked a room for me and my 3 year old daughter. Even though I booked on booking.com with 'breakfast included' and had her officially on the reservation, the staff refused breakfast for her. Never experienced that before! There was no friendly word about it - I would not book the hotel again.
The rooms look exactly like in the pics and are small, but nicely done.

MalaysiaWe found that the water flow of the water machine is too slow so it took some time for us to fill up our water bottle. A sweet reminder, bring your own indoor slippers and toothbrush.
This is our third time staying in The Chow Kit and we enjoyed it as usual. The hotel is charming and clean. The towels and beds are good. The staffs are professional and helpful. Our room is facing the road but it is very quiet. There is water machine in each floor which is so good. Monorail station, grocery store and public laundry shop are very close. The foods of the restaurant at the ground floor are good too.

MalaysiaThe room is really dim, with limited lighting. Everything’s yellow based so it’s really hard to use their full length mirror etc. Facilities wise, nothing much because they have none like gym, swimming pool. Breakfast was really average; Ala Carte basis but most of the items are not available even when you’re there at 9am. In the room, they don’t prepare enough tissue and I’ll have to ask from the reception again at nights. Smart TV but not smart at all, can’t use Netflix.
A photogenic lobby.

MalaysiaThe lighting is a little dim for me , rooms size is rather small, but i am still ok as i was alone . No proper table for me . only i coffee table . The 1st room i check in was very strong with cigarette smell. Staff explained that it wasn't due to the previous guess , the smell in my room was most probably from the room upper or lower floor, Hence after changing to another room , it was good at 1st , but true enough i can smell cigarette smoke both night .
Staff here are friendly , strategic location, reasonable price tag

United KingdomRoom was incredibly dusty, think the filters on their ventilation system need replacing. Everything was covered in dust each day. However, the cleaning staff could have done a better job of cleaning the room as there was always dust on the skirting boards and under bedside tables for example which means they didn’t pay attention to remove all dirt in the rooms.
