Shan, His family and all staff were fantastic, nothing was too much We had family meeting us there over a ten day period,from all over the world, all loved it. I never review, and am loath to do this time as I want availability in the future!! PS Nothing to dislike!

Nicely situated, clean with a friendly receptionist. Umbrellas were thoughtfully provided at reception. Very quiet. Mobile phone 3/4 G reception quite poor. Reasonably good value for money, would stay again.

Staying at this charming boutique hotel on Langkawi Island was an unforgettable experience! Built among the trees and beautifully integrated into nature, it feels like a peaceful hideaway. The young family who runs it puts so much heart into every detail – from the warm welcome to the thoughtful touches throughout the stay. It’s cozy, unique, and full of character. Truly a must-stop when traveling through Malaysia – we’ll definitely be back!

The AC airflow was directed too close to the bed so I ended up with back pain after the 2nd night there. I would recommend to change the AC placement (at least in the room where we stayed)

The standout feature of this property was undoubtedly the exceptional hospitality of the owners. Their kindness and helpfulness were remarkable, exceeding all expectations. We were warmly welcomed and consistently treated to thoughtful gestures, such as refreshing watermelon and juice by the pool, and delicious Malaysian treats. They even generously allowed our daughter to play with their daughter, sharing bikes and creating a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, the pool was immaculate and well-maintained.

Temak provided all the room amenities as in hotel and surprisingly its very clean and the surrounding areas.

An amazing place, we stayed in one of the tree houses and everything was incredible. Lovely place, with a super swimming pool with sun loungers in the shade, perfect to cool down. Really nice people. I left my headphones behind and they quickly drove to the airport to give them back to me. Not often people are this nice and this shows in their place!

Absolutely outstanding stay at The Temak Villa. The location, accommodation and pool area were faultless, spotlessly clean and well cared for. What really sets it apart is the true Malaysian hospitality from the family and their staff. Always greeted with a smile and a wave, daily treats like watermelon and samosas. These extra touché set it apart from resort hotels.

There was a 15 minute walk to the beach area close to 2 high rise, unattractive high end hotels, with a 3rd huge one under construction. The nicest beach (cleaner, softer sand) was much further, but worth the walk. I think you need to like walking to explore. Hot water came from an electric heater which was not particularly powerful.

It was quiet and comfortable. The pool area was excellent for relaxing and very clean with comfortable sun beds. Nice cheap breakfast restaurant 5 minutes away and lots of eating choices further. The owner was very helpful. The beach is dominated by water sports outlets, every 50m and loads of noisy jet skis so the villa was a welcome retreat.

Sadly, we didnt sleep well. Thick tree trunk protruding through the bathroom is super interesting, but every slight wind movement of the tree is rubbing against the bathroom floor boards generating very loud squeeking noise. Hope this gets fixed soon.

The bungalow (tree house) itself is amazing. We loved all the thoughtful details made of wood, good amenities and very nice veranda with kitchenette.

The Place to be !! Tree-huts are very cozy and comfortable (other moders appartements too) Functional kitchen with microwave, water boiler, cups, plates, cutlery. Comfy seating area. Nice pool. All modern and clean! Motor bike rent on sight. Lovely owners. Public beach is 5-10 minutes walk. Be aware on Langkawi are just a few beaches accesable for public. Here is a recommendation: Our best experience was Tanjung Rhu Beach. Lang and wide beach with some shops, local restaurants and yes...watersports. Left on the beach: Tanjung Rhu Beach resort! You can walk in at 1PM for the awesome lunch buffet incl Prosecco MR 120 Or/and rent sun beds at their private pool/beach for MR 250 (MR 200 drinks incl) Burp! If you realy want to have a private beach, stay at The Four Seasons ;)

The villa was amazing. The room was spacious and clean with good amenities. The pool and lounge area was really nice. Most importantly, the family who own and run the villa’s were so kind and helpful! A 20 minute walk to the hidden beach and main strip but there is shops and restaurants near to the villa.

This hidden gem is a must-stay for those who do their research before booking a trip! After two weeks of traveling through Malaysia, my partner and I can confidently say this is the best accommodation we've experienced. Langkawi has countless resorts and hotel, and the usual choice for everyone will be to choose one of them. But, if you care about having an unique experience to witness the warmth and love of the amazing people of Langkawi, I strongly recommend you to try this place. The hospitality here is unmatched and you will be in for a wonderful time. This place is run by a small family, Zuliati and Faisal along with their little and lovely kids. We were pleasantly surprised to have witnessed every attention to detail put in by them at this place. They have 3 tree houses and another 3 villas within the same compound. And since they live within the compound, you will be welcomed like being part of their family. We were so happy to have received local snacks each morning made by Zuliati for the guests. If you're looking for more than just a place to sleep, and want to experience the genuine warmth of Langkawi's people, look no further. You won't be disappointed!

Nothing to dislike

Excellent in every way. Place is clean, owners are amazing, and giving us freshly made food every day, such as Samosas. We did not bother having the room cleaned. You can add the sign on the door, but we only stayed 4 nights. The family are amazing and helped us with printing some travel vouchers out. Hired 2 scooters from them. Large bed, which is hard but comfortable, mini fridge, tv, safe. Outside area is great with a comfortable seating area. it's located 5 mins for bars, restaurants, and a 10 min walk to the beach. Cannot fault this accommodation and would highly recommend. Brilliant place and will definitely recommend and stay here again.

Great location, secluded but only a few minutes walk from great cafes and restaurants, (notably the outstanding Fat Cupid, tucked away 5 minutes walk, also exceptional). Great room, comfy bed, relatively simple and just what we wanted. Great small pool, everything very clean and well maintained. Outstanding friendly hosts delivered occasional treats including water melon by the pool and delicious home cooked local breakfast delicacies.
