Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MalaysiaNeed to climb the hill. Fortunately we rent a car. So no need to climb the hill to reach the Chalet area. Limited parking area. If bring kids have to be more precautious.
Sesuai utk nature lover since it's located on hill. I love wooden concept of the chalet. Breakfast provided. Nasi Lemak, roti canai, roti bakar, karipap, ketayap, air kopi, teh n coway also available. There's a pool even not so wide.

MalaysiaThe road to getting to the hotel is a bit of steep a climb and it is also quite uneven. It would have also been nice if wifi was available.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast spread provided was quite good, with a decent variety of things to choose from. The location of the hotel was very nice as it was very close to the beach and to all the street food stalls, but it still felt quiet and peaceful as we were surrounded by trees with an amazing view of the ocean from the top of the hill.

FranceMaybe the path to go to the hotel. It's a climb not really difficult for us but for old people it can be.
It was a really good place. The breakfast was so delicious. The point to be in the jungle is a plus because it's really quiet.

MalaysiaThis hotel might not be suitable to bring elders as there are just a long staircase to walk down to the room and walk all the way up back to the Reception/gather point, so would suggest this area can be improve where necessary.
Breakfast variety simple, but unlimited to consume. Location wise also considered easy to find, with such a nature and retreat experience. Also with plenty foods hunting at nearby of the teluk nipah night walk.

MalaysiaNothing that i didn't like, really. But just a couple of important notes. For Celcom users, there's no data connection here, but voice network still works. As commented by many other guests, the uphill climb to reach the place - it's REAL, and it's quite a workout. But there's an alternative entrance (please chat with owner to find out), it is more manageable, but still need to climb the steep stairs. Not suitable for elderly or very young kids, and those that cannot handle steep climbs.
This place spells Tranquility. View of the sea is beautiful, especially during sunset. Shaded by trees all around, the place feels cool even during midday. Beds were of quality, and comfortable. Coupled with good linen and pillows, recipe for good sleep. Toilets were basic, functional but most importantly clean.

Malaysiappl may find the steep road leading to the chalet is troublesome or inconvenient but its ok for me since im only spending 2 nights there. probably not for elderly ppl or with lil kids as you need to climb and walk to & fro.
its situated uphill & its chalet-style so its different from the others accomodation if youre looking for smtg more kampong-style & greenery instead of the usual hotel/ resort. smtg that doesnt remind me of the city life.

Malaysiataxi service aren't willing to come to the hotel, we are required to walk down and walk up to the hotel when we arrived and leaving the hotel. there are quite a lot of steps around the hotel, so I won't recommend to those who dislike climbing stairs.
The location of the hotel is at the top of the hill. the view is superb when walking down the hill as you can look straight into the beach. the room is clean, comfortable and very new. i really enjoy the quietness around the room even though it is not far from the main road.

MalaysiaAs mentioned by other guests, getting to this place is quite difficult. I think having a vehicle is compulsory for convenience & comfort. Main entrance has an extremely steep hill accessible by car, and back entrance is much more manageable by foot but still involves lot of climbing. If you can get past this, everything else about this place is great.
Relaxing place to stay at, with a cool concept. Spent a lot of time relaxing on the balcony facing the forest. Service was excellent & the owner was amazingly helpful and nice. The room is extremely clean, bed was elegant, and everything just nice for a romantic stay. A different experience compared to all the typical resort stays.
