ArmeniaThe hotel is not safe, any time they may enter your room and rob you . And no one takes care of it . Even though their management promised to find out and solve the problem, but they didn't. So I think anyone who goes to stay there must be careful. I am travelling already 14 years around the world , and never such case happened to me .
The hotel in all was quite and the vire wasbeautiful, the style, outside cafe , view was very beautiful. Some of staff were helpful, but the last day upon checking out i was robbed around 350 USD including mozambican meticais 10000 and 200 USD , they entered my room when i was having breakfast and i was checking out right away, so on the way to airport i checked the meticais loss and in the airpot i found out that they robbed my wallet also.They didn't refund me and although they told will check with cameras didn't do anything so far .

United KingdomThe hotel needs to improve some services such as swimming pool maintenance, TV channels (just Netflix), and a little fridge in the rooms.
The location of the hotel is outstanding with magnificent views of Maputo city. The hotel was built in 1958 and it still has beautiful architectural features. The staff was very friendly, efficient, and professional. Despite the reduced options, breakfast was fine.

SwitzerlandThe hotel is rundown and needs a lot of maintenance and changes to the rooms. The deluxe chalets are broken and old. Major renovations needed. We complained and were upgraded into the Penthouse. It was better but also needs maintenance.
The breakfast was good. Simple but delicious. The staff are helpful and very attentive. The hotel restaurant made excellent food. We stayed the 6 nights because the food was so satisfying!

South AfricaThe accommodation is unkept - we moved to different rooms due to dissatisfaction; the deluxe room had a leakage from the toilet; the chalet shower had an immediate leakage which resulted in a temporary flooding of our room. Towels smelt like armpits and had rust stains; bed sheets had yellow stains on them; chalet thatch had large open spaces at the top which resulted in more mosquitos and bugs in our room; private pool and jacuzzi for chalets were drained out which meant that everyone has to use the same swimming pool as the beach directly in front cannot be swam in; patio furniture was broken and unmatched.
The views and direct access to the beach; staff was friendly and hospitable; restaurant had really good food.

South AfricaHotel is in horrible state with rotting , stained carpets in the passages, mold on passage walls and showers. Started in standard room with no space to move or unpack and a view of the hotel trash heap. Moldy dirty bathroom with broken shower. Contractors broke the ceiling and the hotel had to move us to a bigger, but even less maintained room with half completed crappy plumbing and an unsecured plumbing access in the bedroom and a stench from the kitchen which forced the hotel to move us again. The third room was huge with high ceilings and at first looked good. But then the paint was pealing, the shower was moldy and taps wasn't working properly and the toilet falling over. Breakfast was expensive and poor quality even after complaining. Do not ask for jam with your toast as the hotel could not supply. This hotel does not know that Tea is made in a teapot and served with milk and sugar. They look at you funny and want to charge you almost double for trying to demand milk.
The view from the pool across the bay towards the city is great. Staff members try to be helpful.

South AfricaThe facilities need a major upgrade. The Spa was closed, the standard rooms were awful. I was upgraded to a chalet at no additional cost, it was a beautiful room, facing the harbor, I loved the books and art at the Hotel. The breakfast was terrible to say the least.
I loved the location on the harbor the sound of the ocean was really calming. I loved it! I also liked the staff especially the managers and waiters. They went out of their way to assist as much as possible.

The facilities are tired, need an upgrade, power was on and off, towels dirty, bed very uncomfortable, breakfast not good, breakfast service was stopped at 955 last day, no late night service for food even snacks .soaps ot teas not available in the room not to say everything is falling apart- our shower was not working for a good full day.Not worth the amount you pay
