A Dream Stay at Luke's Place in Vilanculos! From the moment we arrived at Luke's Place, it was clear this was going to be a holiday to remember. We stayed in the stunning two-bedroom beachfront villa from 8th to 19th December, and it exceeded all expectations. The villa itself is absolutely beautiful, perfectly blending comfort and luxury, with breathtaking views that made every sunrise feel like a masterpiece. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying coffee on the veranda while watching the sun rise over the ocean was nothing short of magical. What truly set our stay apart was Linda, the amazing owner of Luke's Place. She went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, catering to our every request with such warmth and care. Linda's hospitality made us feel very welcome and taken care of—it's rare to find someone so dedicated to making their guests' experience truly exceptional. Nothing. The property was everything we had hoped for.

Luke’s Place is directly on the beach with a private pool. It is fully fenced and within a short walk along the beach to an amazing restaurant. We were picked up directly outside our gate for our island hopping tour and Linda arranged door to door service for sea horseback riding and a helicopter tour. Aside from the gorgeous property, the true gems are Linda and Louie, who do everything to make your stay perfect from the moment they pick you up from the airport.

We liked the pool, the staff, the beach access, the fresh ccconut. Linda was very helpful, she picked us up at the boat on arrival and dropped us at the airport upon leaving. Linda was very attentive and made sure we had all what we needed. She even shared some local tips about restaurants and things to do.

The property is nice, in a quieter area of Vilankulo. The bungalow is clean and comfortable. Linda (the host) is vey helpful and gives you great suggestions.

Everything was as expected but we really enjoyed the location on the beach and walking distance to most of the places in Vilankulos. The only suggestion would be to add a trash can in the bathroom.

Linda was an amazing host. She picked us up from the airport, helped us plan the activities, recommended some restaurants, and drove us back to the airport. We couldn't have asked for a more helpful host.

Linda welcomed us as we were family. We felt warmely welcomed from all the staff. The place is great, the views to the ocean, and the accomodation itself is the closest deffinition to paradise!

Luke's place is a little slice of heaven! Gorgeous accommodation right on the expansive beach and 700m from the closest restaurant Baobab with great food! In the morning you look out onto the ocean shimmering from the sun - really is such a sight! Linda was an outstanding host making sure we got the most out of our holiday., She was super helpful and made as feel like we were at home, always making sure we were well equipped and even taking us to town to get groceries and collecting us from airport etc. Linda recommended a day outing on a dhow to Magaruque island to snorkel and have lunch and it couldn't have been more perfect or well organised. What a fabulous holiday that left us so relaxed :) we will definitely be back to this amazing spot.

I would add 2 hangers for the towels in the bathroom. Despite the double fan, especially the last night we suffered the humid heat and couldn’t sleep, previous nights were slightly better. Just be aware that there’s no air con so maybe avoid the hottest month (mid Jan- February)

The place is like paradise, the chalet is very well organised and beautiful. Linda is a great host, absolutely recommended! Vilankulo is amazing, enjoy your stay and visit the islands nearby! Super comfy bed despite a bit too narrow.

Absolutely amazing! This place is so peaceful and beautiful! The host Linda even picked us up from the airport and brought us back. The rooms are very clean and the stuff is warm & friendly. We enjoyed every second of our stuff.

One of two beachside huts set just off the beach amongst the palm trees. The place is perfectly tranquil, with well manicured gardens and a fantastic view of the beach, whether you’re on your hut porch, in the pool or sunbathing on the lawn. We had an incredible stay here (5 nights). Linda, our host, really looked after us our entire stay, helping with airport transfers and recommendations for our stay - we felt very at home. Service from the staff was great, especially Dito, who even climbed one of the palms to fetch us a fresh coconut! The end hut was clean, tidy and spacious with cooking facilities. Would recommend Baobab for meals and drinks a short 10min walk away on the beach. And Odyssea Dive for amazing dive trips.

Nothing, all was exceptional.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Luke’s Place for a week, and it was a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we had been transported to paradise. The location was stunning - with breathtaking views of the ocean from the bed. It was the perfect escape from our busy lives. We immediately felt the stress melt away. During our stay, we also had the opportunity to go marlin fishing, snorkelling in pristine waters, and kayaking along the picturesque coastline. These experiences added an exciting dimension to our holiday, allowing us to explore the stunning marine life and crystal-clear waters of the area. The cleanliness of the property was impeccable, and our accommodation was spacious, well-furnished, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was like sleeping on clouds, and the amenities were top-notch. We especially enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen, which allowed us to prepare delicious home-cooked meals from the Marlin caught next to one of the islands apposite Luke’s Place. The highlight of our stay was the exceptional customer service we received. The staff at Luke’s Place went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They were always available to answer our questions and offer local recommendations, ensuring we had a fantastic experience. We spent our days lounging by the pool, taking in the warm sun, and sipping on refreshing coconuts from Linda’s Garden. What made this holiday truly special was the peace and tranquillity we found here. Our stay at Luke’s Place was worth every penny, and we can't wait to return. It was a joyful and relaxing holiday that left us feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the memories we made, from marlin fishing to lazy poolside afternoons. I couldn’t stay longer!

What is there not to like?! From the moment you walk through those gates, you’re at home away from home. Linda and Louis do an incredible job of not only running this beautiful property, but also making you feel like you belong. Situated right there at the beach, you’ve got long walks out at low tide, swimming in high tide, palm trees for shade and a pool. It’s paradise. And if that’s not enough, Linda can hook you up with the best operators around for day excursions to the offshore islands. The cabins themselves have all that you could want, with plenty of space and a very comfortable bed. I’ll be back again, and I’m bringing friends. A big shout out to Linda who went above and beyond to help me out, when my flights out went askew. She not only kept me in the loop better than the airline, but also had contingency plans ready if things didn’t work out. Incredible service.

I cannot think of a single thing.

From the minute our hostess Linda picked us up at the airport, we were made to feel like family. Our thatched-roof house was charming, perfectly appointed and with a view of the beach. The cottage is self-catering and has everything you may need. The pool was welcome for cooling off, and we loved watching the sea and the dhows from our porch while listening to the rustling of the palm trees. Linda was gracious and accommodating in all ways, all you have to do is ask. Forgot bug repellent? She provides! Bottle store closed because of a holiday? Wine magically appears in your fridge! Want info on local restaurants? She’ll give you a menu and call ahead to place your order! Anything you may need, it will be done, efficiently and with a smile.

The wifi connection was weak (a local problem) and there was some noise from passers-by, but that would not put us off from repeat visits every time we travel to Vilanculos.

Linda not only collected us from our previous lodgings and delivered us to the airport but also stopped at the shops so that we could buy groceries; she ordered food when required and put us in touch with her fresh fish supplier so we knew that we could trust the quality and price. We were able to indulge our desire to feast on seafood, coconuts from her trees, and relax in her lush private garden. With only two cottages sharing a pool, we had it to ourselves most of the time. The leisure furniture was comfortable - a most necessary asset for a holiday near the sea. Although the kitchen surrounded the bed, it did not intrude or reduce the comfort. The bed linen is both pretty and comfortable, suited to the climate.

There was problem with hot water on our first day stay and issues with WiFi connectivity, then, when we met she asked us if everything was okay, and we reported the issues. The other day all the problems were solved.

The Staff super amicable, respectful, just 5 🌟 the owners Ms. Linda (in particular) a very kind person and helpful, she came to pick up us at airport by herself, take us to grocery once the place is self-catering, provided us good services like horse riding, trip to bazaruto island, and orher things.

It was all wonderful.

Luke's place is a win! We were looking for something that was quiet, off the beaten track, and still in our budget--and Lukes place was perfect. The property is beautiful and the chalets are well equipped (seriously!). There was such attention to detail in the chalets--everything you might need for a self-catering location. Linda was incredibly helpful with local tips and any questions we had. A very good value, high quality location.
