Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The air conditioning system is old school and makes noise. They should either service it or change

The price on booking.com is way higher than the price the rooms actually go for at the hotel. I don't think that is fair. I asked for an early check in which booking.com informed me would be acceptable at no extra cost but on getting there the staff at the reception said I had to wait. Luckily her supervisor came in and realized what I paid on booking.com for a superior room was higher than the price for an executive room and so she asked that I be given an executive room which was free at the time and that's how I got bumped up to a bigger room. The other thing which I have noticed 2ce is that the cleaning staff do not replace soaps and lotions in the bathrooms as they ought too after my first night the cleaning staff took my unfinished bar soap and didn't replace it. I had to ask twice to get it replaced. I think that is just a reflection of the cleaning staff though and not the hotel. Also I feel the towels in the room could have been cleaner. I did not feel comfortable using them at all. Other than these issues mentioned which are for constructive feedback purposes, I really enjoyed my stay and would stay again. It is secure and comfortable
The room was good and the staff were generally nice. I am happy to revisit Citiheights anytime I am in Lagos provided the price point stays pretty stable. The Door man who carried my luggage and ushered me to my room was very polite and friendly. He noticed that the first room he took me too wasn't smelling so great and he took initiative to change the room without me having to ask I appreciated that.

Bathroom
The bathroom sink in room 404 needs upgrading; too many stains. The bedroom floor tiles are moving. Other than that very good room service and the staff were fantastic

I paid more via booking.com than the facility was charging directly. My friend who didnt book online paid less than me and his booking included breakfast. I had to pay more for breakfast after having paid more online, not cool at all. The wifi was weak at night and I had a difficult time working.
The location was good and uber service quite available.

Just the issue of space around the building as it is limited in parking space.
I like the breakfast even though I missed it the second day. The environment was quiet. The staff were great and courteous.

the in-room fridge is too small to store my item and I didn’t get any help from the staff (manager on duty). This staff was not even sympathetic! I am your guest for crying out loud!

I hated the fact that the new hired Admin lady's manner of approach is rude. Even in the restaurant, the manner at which she spoke to me and a young lady regarding our phones we kept on the table while we were dishing out our food was ridiculous... Please this need to be looked into because my using citiheight for 2yr plus, I have never experienced such from their old staff

The passage was very bad as the cleaners were still doing cleaning as at 3pm in the afternoon. Having to enter your hotel room from a dirty passage wasn't what i was expecting.

Some little twick to be done in the room. Fridge cupboard door need to be fix and bathroom little bits to look at. But overall okay for the rate in the area.

The air conditioning unit (window unit) was noisy on my first night. I ordered sweet potato fries and grilled chicken for dinner on my first night and was served fried chicken instead, I complained about my order but was told to manage it. There isn't variety of meals for breakfast (buffet).
The location of the hotel was central to other sites in Lagos .
