KenyaWe stayed there for 2 weeks. 1. The housekeeping staff are not attentive. We were booked as a couple in a double king room and would always call every day for an extra towel as they only have 1 of everything. 1 towel, 1 tea cup, etc. It was very annoying having to call the reception every single day upon our return, despite giving them feedback. 2. Our kettle was leaking, and when we alerted them, they replaced it with one that overheats and doesn't turn off automatically. The fridge was faulty they had to replace it. 3. Water kept going in the mornings. A couple of times, we got stuck in the shower due to lack of water. It would usually come back in 10 mins, but there was this day we waited for half an hour, and eventually, they had to bring a bucket of water for us to use and bathe manually 🙄. Very annoying to use to toilet and can't immediately wash your hands too. 4. Breakfast staff were not friendly in the beginning. 5. The cleaners only clean where they can see. They don't clean under the seats and tables, under the bed and in our case we had 6 suitcases, they didn't clean under the suitcases, despite us showing them. 6. The internet was not strong, and we had to use our own router. Their internet is not recommended for Zoom video calls. 7. Couldn't access Netflix on their TV. 8. Fridge (and all sockets) turn off when you leave the room once you remove the card from the plug. Which means any ice that was in the freezer leaks so you come back to a leaking fridge. It was quite untidy.
Good location and easily accessible. Our room was ok and the toilet and shower were great. The staff were friendly, and their complementary breakfast had a modest variety.

United KingdomOne member of the reception staff was unpleasant and unhelpful. She proposed to charge me more for my stay than the total price confirmed by booking.com. she said that booking.com always failed to take into account vat and commission. They refused to allow me to check in without paying the additional sum. Instead of contacting booking.com to correct their issue with booking.com, they placed the burden on me. I have now complained to booking.com. Minutes after checking in, the shirt I was wearing was torn by one of the stairway bannister posts. One of the corners of the post was very sharp, and the porter that was with me checked the same and agreed.
The room was spacious and generally finished to a high standard. It was cleaned every day. There is an onsite shop, which was convenient. The porters were helpful.

NigeriaBreakfast was error! Foods like pasta, custard, moi moi for breakfast. Fried yam, plantain, potatoes, with eggs or fish sauce. That’s the most you’d get, including plain bread without any spreads. You only get coffee and tea bags for drinks option. Watermelon and pineapple poorly placed as fruits and not even cold. Hotel room, Air-conditioning is soooo noisy, not too cold, requires maintenance. Bedsheets, pillows and towels are probably over 10years because they are toooo old and worn out, you would see tears and holes on them. Pillows sooo uncomfortable and hard. Attention has been spent so much on branding rather than actual spending on comfort in this hotel.
Location is very good and a quiet getaway from the noise of Lagos.

This is what I did NOT like ( wrong box) I had to pay cash up front for my hotel stay. I received a credit card receipt but desk clerk refused to give me an itemized statement at my checkout. None of my credit cards were accepted because they said 'was from a country other than Nigeria'. I could not run a tab. The hotel's taxi driver harrassed me for more money all the way to airport. He left me in his car alone with windows up and doors locked, after I pleaded with him not to leave me alone. The pool was dirty. I could not get more bottled water early morning. They were doing construction on the floor above my room from 8 am. Very loud, grating noise. The desk clerk told me ' just one bottle of water each day to my room'. I asked them to check the treadmill for 2 days to get the power on. They did not. I finally went to gym and found how to connect plugs to get power on. Overall this hotel operates in a passive-aggressive manner. They do not tell the customer what their 'real' policies are. If they do not want to help you, they do nothing. The desk clerk got visibly upset and angry tone when I asked for statement for hotel stay. She said ' No, we don't do that'. Or, like their driver, who just yelled at me for more money.

United StatesThe check-in experience was terrible. I was assigned to a room that was clearly not ready. Broken light fixtures, cheap, multi-colored plastic and metal hangars. Bathroom that's poorly lit. A single towel was provided instead of two as my reservation was for two. The manager promptly changed my room once i complained though. The buffet breakfast selection is very stale.
The facility manager is a good and honest man! He and the house keeping crew are excellent in customer service!
