Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I booked at Safron when my flight from Lagos was cancelled and little else at a decent price point was available nearby on a Saturday night. Beautiful construction, very clean, comfy bed, but a few quirks that made me think staff weren't thoroughly trained (although they were quite kind). Other little oddities like only one elevator which was both small and slow, my 'executive' room was sparsely furnished with lots of empty space, etc. Still, not bad overall and I was grateful to land somewhere this pleasant when my travel plans suddenly changed.

The WiFi set up is a bit confusing and doesn’t always work. Also the swimming pool is wrongly located next to the dining area. More breakfast options please

I was supposed to get a room with a balcony per what booking.com had on the page, I didn't get that. To regulate the AC temperature you would have to get up from your bed, there was no AC remote.
The hotel staff were nice, the food was great.

The rooms were not cleaned properly the curtains had a little stain on them and the toilet door was dirty wasn’t cleaned

Finishing in the bathroom can be improved. The breakfast buffet was sparse compared to my last visit.
Close to the airport. Professional and courteous staff. Restaurant open until late. Large rooms. Very comfortable bed.

Only negative was the air-con in my room made a loud noise when on even in quiet mode. Struggled to sleep so i had to turn it off.
Great luxurious hotel in a perfect mainland location. Only stayed one night but wish i stayed longer. I loved the décor and you get a real luxury feel. The hotel buffet was amazing and exceeded my expectations. One of the best I've ever had including in Europe & USA. I used the hotel pool in the morning which was nice. I really enjoy my stay.

The restaurant is the only area they fall short. Most of the items on the menu are not available. The food is subpar. Do not I repeat do not order the steak! Prepare to wait a long time before you receive your meal. I stayed at the Park Inn by Radisson prior to checking into Safron and everything I ordered on the menu was delicious. They definitely need another elevator. To have one tiny elevator to accommodate a hotel of that size seemed odd to me.
The hotel is beautiful and located in a safe area.The rooftop has a great view and vibe. My room was spacious with an amazing view.

The chef was not making the eggs on sight so I could not tell what and what I wanted in my eggs

There was no mirror in the room which I found quite strange especially for a lady who would like to have a look at themselves before stepping out. The only mirror available is in the wash room. And not a full mirror .
The hospitality and friendliness of the staff was amazing. The staff are very professional in their dealings with customers. The manager was wonderful.
