Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

VietnamThe road to get to the property is a little bit difficult to drive up but we managed it fine in an ATV
Really cute guesthouse with cosy rooms, lovely staff, delicious breakfast and amazing views of Volcan Concepcion. We loved the pets Alpha, Osa & Ninja. Nolver & David were great and really helpful with all our questions and the kitchen and cleaning staff were lovely as well.

United KingdomThe view was exceptional. How can you beat sunset on Conception! Fabulous setting. Beautiful wildlife with howler monkeys doing an evening entertainment! So peaceful. We could cook our own meals as well which we loved.

United KingdomWorth noting that house is a 10 min walk up a slightly rocky path. Felt completely safe at night but just a bit dark so we used our phone torches.
Absolutely gorgeous location. Tropical plants, monkey, birds and volcanos on your doorstep. Rooms were really clean and bed comfortable. The staff were all fab, very friendly and helpful - they helped us to book scooters, arrange guides for activities and taxi transfer to port. Would definitely stay here again if ever back in Ometepe.

GermanyAn aircon would be perfect for a better sleep during hot nights.
David the Manager of the guesthouse was really nice and helpful and we felt welcomed very much also by the rest of the staff. The garden is a perfect relaxing spot with one of the best views of the island. Breakfast was delicious. Rooms are comfortable, spacious and very clean. We can highly recommend Ananda!

United KingdomIt is up an unpaved road which is quite uneven. It only takes 10mins to walk to the main road to go to cafes/restaurants but it feels further on the way back in the dark! Although being further away from the road brings its own benefits.
Set within tropical gardens with one of the best views of Volcán Concepcion. Our room was very spacious with a lounge and kitchen area and huge terrace. I don’t think the photos on the website did it justice! The rooms were very well appointed and clean. The staff were always helpful and very responsive (definitely helped to speak some Spanish though). Breakfasts were delicious and very nice to be able to eat them on your terrace. We liked the added touch of having a filtered water tank to save carrying heavy bottles of water to the property and the music speaker.

United KingdomElectricity kept cutting out. One night we had none from 9pm until 7am which meant our phones or cameras hadn’t charged. The communal kitchen is not accessible from 7 to 11 as staff are there cooking breakfast, they are lovely and will move to allow you in but it’s not big enough for too many cooks. Outside of these times it’s really handy to have a fridge and kitchen ware. Lovely organic coffee, so the kitchen was a bonus.
Beautiful and peaceful. We read so much about the road in, it was actually fine. Yes it’s bumpy, but you can navigate this easily. We walked to Balgue in 10 mins. Lovely restaurants there. We walked to El Pita chocolate restaurant for breakfast and the wonderful view… this is about 1km. We then walked to Santa Cruz which is approximately 3km from Ananda’s. There were stalls here selling delicious food (don’t miss) and a decent size supermarket. Sit and enjoy the kite surfers here. Santa Domingo was about another 2Km. We didn’t mind walking but it was hot. Taxi ride to Ojo De Aqua was $30 return, Playa Mangoes was similar cost. Breakfast at Ananda’s was nice. There are plenty of places to get food nearby. Also we had a delivery from local pizzeria which was delicious! We completely chilled in Ananda’s.

United Arab EmiratesIt is a bit difficult to get to, but not an issue. The road is bumpy but it is not unsafe or very difficult if you have a moto or car. I found the drive worth the views!
I loved the view of the volcano and how peaceful it was not just in the morning but all throughout the day. We woke up to monkeys every morning while having our breakfast on the patio and enjoyed coming back to the hammocks in the afternoon. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. We used the communal kitchen which was a big plus.

NetherlandsI respect people who travel by moped, car, ATV or motorbike since there's quite a difficult road to get to Ananda. We didn't rent anything and enjoyed our time by using a taxi for exploring the island, but people were a bit surprised by our choice. Moreover, keep in mind that there are quite some Dutch tourists these days in Nicaragua; they will visit this place as well since it's a great place to stay. Nothing the accommodation can do anything about.
The breakfast options were lovely, the view on the volcano was amazing and I really enjoyed having our private terrace with a hammock and howler monkeys that visited the surrounding nature every day. Oh, and the stars on a not cloudy day, best I have ever seen so far! We have really enjoyed our week on the island, could easily have stayed a bit longer. Café Campestre was nearby, great place for dinner. All in all, it was better than we imagined, thank you!
