Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe beds and rooms were nice and comfortable. However, although we had fans, the room was hot at night. Not a big deal but worth mentioning for full disclosure.
The location and view at the Hostel is hard to beat. It was great to wake up and see the laguna and eat breakfast with this amazing view. Our kids enjoyed swimming in the water.

United StatesThis was my first experience with a hostel, so this could be normal, but the rooms were very basic. For our family of 5, we only had 2 towels to use for the whole stay. There was no soap, shampoo, washcloths, etc. We figured out a way and it was fine, but just think it's important to know these things before you arrive.
The food was excellent. The staff was great. The views are AMAZING. The lake water is warm and perfect for swimming. Kayaks were fun. the kids loved the floating dock. We had one drunk guy using the area as a day use. He came over to our table and was acting angrily. The staff quickly helped him leave the property. They care about your experience. Everything about the experience was great.

New ZealandNo wifi/internet signal from the room I stayed in, which was only inconvenient because I work online and we had Hurricane Julia rain for 24 hours.
Everything! Such a well thought out lakeside resort. Great spaces for relaxing, working and enjoying the great food overlooking the lake. Lovely helpful staff. I was sad to leave and wish I’d booked for longer than 3 nights!

Paradiso is a perfect spot if you want to relax for a couple of days. Located right on the lagoon with a beautiful view from the restaurant. A big plus is the free use of kayaks and sunbeds.

CanadaFood is decent but not local and a bit on the pricey side compared to local. (Still very affordable though.) Towels are for rent. (Would rather they just add it in the room price.) Staff professional but not overly friendly.
Beautiful environment to relax in. Kayaks and inner tubes, pool table, ping pong, etc for amusement. Social but not a party. Spacious, clean dorms with beautiful bathrooms, personal lockers, fans and lights.

GermanyAt checkout they charged the room plus 10 % service charge (tip, like on a restaurant bill) and that is not ok. Unfortunately I didn't see that directly and couldn't correct that.
Top and I got a free upgrade to private bath.

Canadawe were in a room that was not renovated. We paid extra to have a cot in the room for a third person and they provided us with a tiny fold over couch. There was hard buttons on it and a huge, hard seam. Our room was surrounded by ants and It was basically in the parking lot surrounded by garbage. We went and visited our other party members in their rooms thinking it would be the same and they beautiful, clean, comfortable rooms. And they paid less than us! Not happy.
The beach is beautiful and the food was decent. Half of the resort has been upgraded and renovated.

CanadaLots of people come just for a day with a day pass and it becomes very busy and less restful. We booked a private room and it was right by the road- we could hear the cars at night and I had thought it would be away from the city noise. Our room also did not have an outdoor area (some of the other units had a little table and chairs) and no windows- only tiny tinted ones that we couldn't even see out of. Our door led to the parking lot essentially - for the price that we paid, it was way too overpriced!
Beautiful location! The lake is gorgeous and it's very relaxing. Great swimming and kayaking.

CanadaIt’s very remote. Unless you have a car you aren’t going far. There’s not much to do there so swimming for a day is fine. There are tons of people who spend the day (day pass) and then leave - so keep that in mind if you don’t get a private bathroom as they are using the shared ones. When no day guests are there the place is nice to enjoy but when it’s packed..not so much.
If you want to swim in the Laguna it’s a great space. Food was not bad either. Staff was very nice
