The hotel staff is unbelievable caring! It was my mom's first time in Nepal, she said within her stay the hotels were getting better and better. Ananta Home was our last stay before we left Nepal. She really enjoyed it and was so happy about her breakfast. The staff even took are of our postcards, which we forgot to put in a postbox. Thank you for the nice stay.

I recently had another wonderful stay at Ananta that left me thoroughly impressed. The team's exceptional hospitality made my experience truly memorable. The morning dining experience was superb, featuring a diverse menu with simple yet excellent breakfast options. They consistently checked in on my satisfaction, ensuring I had enough to eat. The added convenience of excellent Wi-Fi and consistently hot water further enhanced my stay. What stood out for me was not only the attentive service but also the extra assistance they provided, such as arranging taxis for me, making my stay even more convenient. Despite the hotel's central location, it surprisingly offered a peaceful environment, allowing for a relaxing retreat. I particularly appreciated the unique room design, adding a special touch to the overall experience. And let's not forget those incredibly comfortable beds – possibly the best in the city! The combination of outstanding service, peaceful surroundings, convenient amenities, and comfortable accommodations makes Ananta my top choice for future visits. Everything was perfect

As we were heading to Pokhara from Kathmandu we did not want to spend too much on accomodation in Kathmandu, so we looked at booking.com and finalised Anantha Home for a day. The location of the property is just superb, with all the pubs, bars, eateries and shopping around Thamel. You can walk around the surrounding areas and soak in the culture and vibes of Nepal. The property itself is simple, with two rooms on each floor and I think there are in total about 6 floors. The staff were very friendly and always had smiles on their faces. The bed is comfortable, you get hot water and the breakfast in the morning is sufficient to get you started. Please come and stay in such places if possible for a day or two and help business owners during these tough times. I would recommend this place to everyone who are looking to head to other places in Nepal but have to stay a day or two in Kathmandu and not put a hole in their pocket

Breakfast could be better, investment in espresso machine rather than instant coffee and bigger selection of teas highly recommended.

It's a new hotel, so everything was new and fresh. The bed was super comfortable, big with clean new sheets. Water was always hot, which is not so usual in Nepal. For Thamel the location was very quiet, our room window was facing the garden, so not much noise getting from outside. TV with the access to Netflix is definitely the plus. Staff was very accommodating, welcoming and helpful.

I liked it all.

Clean, friendly, convenient & every detail has been carefully considered. In the heart of the Thamel, Ananta is on a quiet street. The rooms have balconies overlooking a beautiful courtyard. It is super clean. Fast, free wifi. Huge king bed with lots of pillows & duvet. Reading lights on both sides. Western style washroom with flush toilet, hot shower & toothbrushes & paste, shampoo, soap & TP, etc provided. Huge fluffy towels. There is a fridge in the room. Good storage in the room (& elevator for bringing up luggage). Full length mirror. Bottled water, tea kettle as well as tea & coffee provided. The owner is unbelievably welcoming. The owner & staff speak English (&’probably other languages). Breakfast (a substantial breakfast - eggs, toast, juice, etc) is in a pleasant dining room. There is also a roof garden for relaxing. Streetside there is a small patio where you can have a tea or coffee & watch the Thamel activity. The owner used to be a guide so is an excellent resource to treks, lodging, bus schedules as well as Kathmandu practicalities such as the best place to exchange money, etc. Best of all is just how friendly & helpful EVERYONE is!

The lovely hotel located in the central location of Thamel. The room is tastefully furnished and had everything we needed. The staff is also super nice and always happy to help. It is one of the best hotels we’ve stayed on our trip.

the TV wasn’t the most user friendly but the staff was prompt to help us every time we had an issue & on our last night we noticed a lot of ants in our room but it didn’t affect our stay

the location of Anata home is super central and the staff is beyond friendly and helpful with everything! The TVs have apps that you can log into and the shower is hot and clean. They helped arrange a laundry service for me and they upgraded us to a nicer room upon arrival!

This has been my most enjoyable stay in Kathmandu so far. The accommodations were impeccably clean, meeting all expectations. The beds were incredibly comfortable, providing a heavenly sleep experience. Although the breakfast was simple, it was fantastic as everything served seemed fresh and in the perfect quantity. Mr. Pratik, the receptionist, was extremely helpful with his suggestions and showed great kindness. The location is ideal for foreign guests, as the street where it is situated has everything a traveler needs, from ATMs to excellent restaurants for dining.
