This is a lovely place to relax by the river. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The food is very good too. I was ill while we were staying here and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful.

Dogs living onsite were lovely animals but could be very noisy barking. Seems like a very first world problem but I was unable to sleep well from a hard uncomfortable mattress.

Great helpful staff, beautiful location riverside, mostly peaceful. Extremely good value for money.

The only thing that was not as great as the rest were the rooms. The whole structure shakes if you move inside. The shower was not very pleasant and water went through the wall and onto the floor of the other room. Since everything else was great, we still highly recommend the accomodation.

First of all, the staff is amazing! All the people working there are very friendly and you'll feel at home in no time! The views from the balconies and terraces are amazing, fog crawling over the river in the morning, great sunset in the evening. Also the food there is very good! We ate there every day and were always more than satisfied! Especially their Malay Kofta and Coconut porridge are a treat! They are also very helpful with organizing tours and transport for a fair price. We did the walking tours in the national park and buffer zone with the guides Manu and Jitendra. Two very knowledgeable and friendly guides with whom we had two lovely canoe rides and walks in the morning. We saw multiple rhinos, gharial & mugger, deer, maquaces, lots of birds and tiger and bear footprints.

Surrounded by nature, with a beautiful river and jungle view. I saw wild rhinos and many birds from this hotel. One of the nature-rich places in Chitwan, Sauraha. I really enjoyed my days.

Fanstatic location, sunrise and sunset river's view from cottages. Watching wild animals (rhinow, elephants, crocodiles, buffalos, monkeys just from patio. Real experience of Nature. Real warmth of family who run the place. Best place ever in Chitwan:) Serving homemade fresh meals until late night.

Ok, there is no doubt that the location is the best of the best! There is not everyday that you can stay riverside in front of a national reserve (and at such a good price). Stunning sunsets and sunrises everyday! Sounds of nature (birds, etc) everyday, all day! Also, the room was spacious enough and there was always hot water. The staff was helpful and kind. The walking distance to sauraha centre was ok for us (we did it everyday). We extended our stay and really enjoyed our time at Bamby and sauraha in general! Downsides: the mattress of the bed was so hard and i can say it's the only thing missing for the total relaxation. They could have a Pos machine! We are on 2025 and international travellers visit the hotel everyday. Only cash payments may be a problem for some people. They could also have an electric kettle in the rooms, as there is nothing near to at least prepare a coffee or tea. Also, the menu is a bit overpriced compared to sauraha downtown places. Last, but not least, non clients are allowed at the hotel area and usually they make so much noise because I guess they are not in the chilling mood.

    Nothing

An amazing and unique location right on the river front - our room was basic but directly overlooking the river and had everything we needed. We saw animals from our balcony and the lovely riverbank seating spots on more than day! Also a very easy walk, about 15 mins, into town. The staff are all incredibly kind and helpful and went out of their way to help with anything we needed. We booked 2 jungle walks through the guesthouse (one in the national park and one in the buffer zone) and had very knowledgeable guides both days (Manu & Sudash and Maya & Aspen). Food also was delicious - we had breakfast, some packed lunches for our jungle walks and dinner and it was all delicious with plenty of options. We booked this place for 2 nights and ended up staying for 4, highly recommended!

We were greeted at check in with a lovely cool drink, the friendly and knowledgeable staff helped us out with our plans to see the reserve, they booked us with two really wonderful guides, Manu and Sudash. Highly recommend them, we were always in the right place at the right time! Its beautiful just to sit overlooking the riverfront watching the sunset, we saw Rhinos, deer, too many species of bird to list here, crocodiles, elephants and even an Owl in the tree at the property! Perfect place for us as it's just a short walk to the town, but it's quiet here at night, so sleep is undisturbed. We will be back here!!

The location is fantastic, on the edge of the river, beautiful sunsets, peaceful vibes, a short walk to the elephant breeding centre and a short walk (along quiet roads) into town. The staff were all helpful and friendly, the food was great. I wish we had time to stay longer! Will definitely stay here again.

Not really to do with the property but we walked home from the street after dinner one night and then our safari guide told us off the next day (think the accom told him) that it isn’t safe to walk at sunset/sunrise or in the dark due to all the wild animals. I think maybe letting all guests know this would be important when checking in as we didn’t know and felt bad for making them worry

Such a beautiful spot. We could have just stayed at Bamby our whole time in Chitwan. Being right next to the river is very special! The staff are lovely and very accommodating. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Shower was hot with good pressure. Food was also pretty good too. Would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Chitwan
