Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNo much.
Large reception area and the courtyard gave this hotel a spacious feel. Eating in the courtyard in the evening (March) was an enjoyable, relaxed experience. Swimming pool was inviting but we were there in a cool evening and departed the next day. Our room was quiet and comfortable.

AustraliaCarpets and furniture in the room are a little tired. Bed mattresses a little soft for my liking. The Gompa (Buddhist monastery) inside the hotel grounds isn’t actually used for prayer services; so you’ll have to go for a walk to other Gompas if you want to see some monk action.
Comfortable place with the usual western facilities, bedding, bathrooms and cleanliness required by upmarket western tourists. Price on Booking.com was fair IMO. Staff were very helpful, nice and friendly. Lady at reception was exceptionally helpful. Very quiet room. Nice air-con. Not far from the sights. Do a very nice Banana Smoothie at the poolside bar. Nice to walk past the Buddhist Gompa all the time. Tucked away from the hustle-bustle. I would be happy to stay there again.

We got an upgrade, so the room was very big :) thank you so much 🧡 Everybody was very friendly and we felt welcome. 🤗 And the hotel is close to the Boudha stupa wich was nice for us because we’re Buddhists, but it was very quiet!

United KingdomThis is a real gem. We are so glad we found it and were sad to leave after only one night. This is a lovely, classy hotel situated within the complex of a monastery and is so incredibly peaceful. We did see that the must have been other people staying but there is such a sense of calm and serenity we felt like we were the only guests! Go to the morning yoga from 8-9am, it is such a lovely way to start your day. Then have a delicious breakfast (really tasty veggie options). Pool looks great but isn’t heated so we only dipped our toes in… Rooms are clean, spacious, comfortable and very pretty decor with exposed brickwork and wood carving. Dalai Lama quotes on the walls! I’m not a Buddhist and not a partially spiritual person but honestly I left feeling so serene! The location couldn’t be better for visiting Boudha, it’s right by the stupa (pedestrianised and peaceful streets) yet really quiet and there are some great local restaurants to try.

ThailandIt was a true delight to stay at Dolma Ling. The staff were all so genuinely kind and friendly. It was Dec/Jan when I stayed and just walking into the lobby gave much warmth, not only with the smiles but also the warm temperature. The breakfast was healthy with lots to choose from – Nepali, Tibetan, and Western options. At dinners the staff was happy to adjust the cooking to accommodate for allergies. I felt very safe and cared for. The location was an oasis in the bustle of Boudhanath…down a quiet lane, very peaceful and quiet.

PolandAs for Nepal, it is not the cheapest hotel, but the price is followed by quality and standard, which is similar to the West. Some of the equipment is old though. In our room, the drain plug in the bathroom broke, but after reporting it, it was quickly fixed. In another room, which we got in the second part of our stay, some of the electrical sockets did not work. Additional services is also quite pricey, but good quality.
Hotel Dolmaling stands out with its premium standard above other hotels in the area. The design of the hotel is very nice and aesthetic, the public spaces are clean and high quality. I liked the Buddhist accents in the decor and even the mantras played from the recording. You can experience local culture here, I happened to see a probably Tibetan wedding. :) I felt very good here and could relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. I really appreciated that the room had heating (air conditioning), hot water for bathing, electricity and WiFi without interruptions, which I know was not always the standard in other facilities in the area. The bedding and towels were relatively clean, and at the same time the cleanest I have experienced in the whole of Nepal, because this is probably a general problem that bedding and towels are not always perfectly clean. The staff was friendly and helped to fulfill many of my needs. The breakfast buffet was okay, but I much prefer the dishes from the a’la carte menu. I tried one of the Bhutanese sets and it was the best dinner dish I've eaten during my stay in Nepal :) I also used the laundry service several times and was very pleased, the clothes came back clean, ironed and folded. Although it was one of the most expensive laundry I've ever done on a trip ;)

The hotel is conveniently located for Bounhanath stupa which is around 10 minutes walking distance away but because its location is away from main roads, the hotel is incredibly calm and peaceful. Our room on the first floor was very stylish and decorated with high quality furnishings. Well equipped with fridge, tv, safe, hairdryer and kettle with tea/coffee supplies and complementary bottled water. Very comfortable king bed providing a relaxing nights sleep. Breakfast has a range of food options with eggs cooked to order plus various hot dishes, yoghurt, fruit, toast and cakes. We had a late lunch one day and two dinners in the restaurant and all were excellent. A good base if staying in the area.
