They only had international breakfast, I would have preferred Indian/Nepali breakfast.

It is located on the upper end of Thamel, and is great value for the price in the dorms. Really nice staff, and the rooms were well equipped

Kim and the team at Elbrus Home were very friendly and accommodating. The shared room and shower was very clean and comfortable. Good breakfast too! It was a great place to meet fellow travellers, I had an amazing time!

Came here for the third time already - the owner is very friendly & helpful, location very central, the rooms clean and affordable and the little breakie und the garden a nice extra! Would recommend the private bathroom rooms, the little extra money was worth it

Best people# best budget friendly hotel# good location Now here goes the review If you are looking for place where you want to experience a good time ,budget friendly hotel ,then you are in the right place. The hotel lies just beside the road and once u enter the compound you are greeted by the most friendliest people ( Tamang dai and the hotel owner) . Both of them will become your guide and your friend ,they won't let u feel like a typical guest. Morning breakfast in the garden is one of the highlight in this hotel. Each floor has a common balcony where you can hangout yourself or with your accompanying person or your neighbours . I would suggest the top floor ( one of the best) Overall Lovely experience.

Really good breakfast, comfy beds, warm duvet and clean facilities. The host and his staff were really helpful with sorting out a trek and really friendly the entire time. Great community amongst trekkers and backpackers as well.

Best place to stay in Kathmandu. It's close to everything but at the same time far enough away from the chaotic and noisy Thamel. Rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. The banana porridge and the masala tea breakfast are a perfect way to start your day. The owner Khem is a lovely person and so helpful and supportive.

Perfect location. 5/10min walk from the heart of Thamel. Great staff. Khem is very nice and welcoming. he has been working at Elbrus Home for many years and we can see that he is here to help. A very nice garden for breakfast and relax, balconies for some rooms, also a living room, and plenty of books available.

Really amazing hostel! Probably the only hostel in Kathmandu with a private garden! Free breakfust and a location that is close to everything you need. Khem is an amazing host and have answers for every question. They help me with booking transfer to phokara and can fix guide to all the treks you need. Thank you so much for a good visit!

Very friendly staff. Khem always wants to help you. Also good for meeting people when you travel alone. There is a nice garden where you can sit. I booked the Manaslu trekking via the hostel. It was the best decision. I could meet the guide, Gopal, before I went trekking. Everything was very well organised. The guide was the best I could wish for. He was super friendly and funny. He speaks good English and knows a lot about the area and nature. If he doesn't know something, he will ask anyone to answer the question. He got me a front seat in the bus, took fresh fruits with him. He was just the best guide. Also compared to other peoples guides. I would definitely recommend booking him. We stayed in the Elbrus Home after we arrived back from our trekking. The Hotel ist perfectly situated. In our first two nights before Trekking we stayed directly in Thamel, which was really loud during the night. The Elbrus is really quite in the night, but still close enough to the Thamel to get there in about 5 minutes by walk. The owner Khem is a really friendly and helpful Person. If we would come again to Kathmandu, the Elbrus Home is where we would stay.
