Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI happened to meet Bj (the owner) on my bus on the way to Chitwan, he offered me a free upgrade to experience the ‘treehouse room’ as I’d booked a cheaper ground level space - the place was amazing, so set back from everything, beautiful scenery, you wake up listening to wildlife. They also offer tours, I had a wonderful canoe and trek in Chitwan National Park with the very insightful and friendly Aspin and Sudas (5,500 per person in a group of 4) The food was also incredible and all cooked to order (not overpriced). Plus all water on the site is filtered and drinkable. Meditation spots and a yoga space too🙏🏻

AustraliaThe food could take a while at times, but as long you order before you’re starving it’s fine. Gave plenty of time to connect with other travellers.
Such a creative and beautiful place to stay! The people were kind and helpful, and the whole space had really good vibes.

GermanyThe only thing we disliked was having to leave :((
Pemsee's Tree Farm is a small piece of paradise - we originally booked for just one night, but ended up staying for two more. The property is right next to the Tharu village and feels like an organic extension of the village both physically and socially. Since it's also surrounded by nature on three sides, the view is stunning and at night, we could hear lots of animals moving around us. The staff is incredibly kind, they helped us organize our safari, made sure we had everything we could possibly want and need, and felt more like friends than staff. There's a small restaurant serving delicious food as well, and you can lend bicycles to drive to the village and the city. The tree houses are a little rustic - they're tree houses, after all - but they're clean, beds are comfy and ours even had a bathroom. The days we spent at Pemsee's really felt magical and we would love to come back <3

FranceWe stayed 2 nights and had 2 meeting times with hostel staff, they were late both time. We were told to be ready at 7.30 am for the trek but only left at 8.30. It’s frustrating to know we could have slept an hour more.
Environment is incredible, common spaces are very convivial and food is amazing ! There is a special attention on the impact on the environment: water is drinkable ! No need to buy plastic bottles. The guide for the trek was very nice, skilled and fun.

United StatesFor hot shower you have to wait if someone takes a shower before you. Because waters gets cold. Sometimes long wait for food. Better to pre order if you on a schedule.
The hostal is super cute, surrounded by nature way from the city, I love the treehouses and all the decorations and art style of the place. You have a restaurant for food and can rent bicycles. Staff is friendly and help you with jungle tour walk.

AustraliaStayed on a mattress that was extremely hard, could definitely think about upgrading some of them! Other than that, everything was great
Awesome vibe here. Everything set up nicely in the garden with treehouses above you. Definitely worth the stay! And book early to secure a treehouse for your accommodation because they do get taken early. Also food here is AMAZING, everything on the menu was 10/10 (must try the kofta balls)

SpainIt’s the best hostel I’ve been so far, no doubt. Every detail is well taken care of, it can’t be cozier. You really feel like being in paradise! If you like being sorrounded by nature that’s your place. I even stayed longer that I planned. They have a vegetarian/vegan restaurant with tasty food, and the best time is when in the evening they set fire and people hang around it. Also, I joined a safari tour with susu, he’s so funny and knows so many interesting things about the fauna and flora in the area. They definitely make you feel like home, relaxed and peaceful!

FranceI came at Pemsee's Tree Town several times and how can I leave such a beautiful bubble of heaven !! I always extend my stay thanks to the lovely friendly staff, incredible food and peaceful environnement ! Bijay is great, very inspiring and his creative energy is admirable. Junu, Fullmaya, Beepana are great lovely women, Suraj an awesome jungle guide, and Sham the best cook so far. The welcoming decoration brings a creative atmosphere with a peaceful tree island reshresing during hot days away from city sounds, only surrounded by nature, birds, and even sometimes we can see wild animals ! I experienced shamanic initiation, more than a lasting memory... So many things to do, to see (bicycle on hire!), to feel and chill. Enjoying time. Best staff members, helpful and funny. Awesome place to connect with travelers too!! Gathering around a fire, playing music, sharing life moments... There's even a fresh water pond ! I'll come back !! Thank you so much for everything. Miss you all already
