Not all lockers had locks. A squeejy in the bathrooms would be helpful.

Great beds, greaaaat breakfasts, 3 chill areas, 1 outside garden area, 1 with bean bags and books and 1 with sofas upstairs. Sabi is beautiful and will take of you, Denis is also awesome.

Great atmosphere, nice people working there who help wherever they can, good breakfast options, hot water (during day) and really nice garden with places to spend some time with other travellers. I would definitely come back!

Beautiful, cozy hostel. Nice multicultural and open environment. Common areas in internal garden space perfect for enjoying alone or interacting with other travellers. Excellent service, respectful and super supportive crew... And they make the best coffee in Pokhara!

The floor is wet after the shower. Needs something to dry.

The garden was awesome. There is a library with couches. Good WiFi connection and you can buy to eat in there or takeaway.

Nothing at all. I cannot fault my time.

Such a wonderful place. I stayed at some of the other more frequently mentioned places and this was by far the best. The bed (4 bed) was great, great wifi, shower was super and the communal area is very tasteful. Feels like a much more expensive place to stay.

The rooms are clean and more than well-equipped for a backpacker. The staff at Gauri Shankar were absolutely exceptional - recommendations for local activities, help with booking buses in every direction out of Pokhara, delicious coffee, and generally just always around for a conversation. The common garden is also beautiful and has many seating areas that were great areas to meet and chat with other backpackers. But the highlight of our trip was the hostel’s local dog, a stray named Kukur that spends most of her time along the lakeside. She followed my friend and I several kilometres down the street, waited outside as we ate in a cafe, then walked back with us! If anyone sees a black and brown Labrador type with a short, wagging tail, give her a hug from Australia. 5 stars for this hostel.

You come here to enjoy and party, not to rest. Hard to get a good night sleep.

I loved the garden. Always things to do, organised by the hostel, easy to meet people. Private bathroom is a plus. Perfect location, near the lake.

Everything about the place was amazing!! The staff, the ambiance, the food, the vibe, the value... it's totally worth it!! We stayed there for 4 nights in mixed dorm and the experience was amazing!! Love from 🇧🇩 Hope to stay there again!!

Nothing to dislike, but during off-season the entire area feels a bit too quiet

This was the prettiest and the most well-lit room I stayed in throughout my entire trip. I loved the ambiance, the staff and the property itself. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly place right by the lake, this is great.

Good Vibes, nice atmosphere and great place to be before or after a treeking tour. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful for booking tours or tips around Pokhara. I recommend this hostel to 100%.

Good location behind the main Street and lake side bed and bathroom is clean and well mentend garden view is wonderful.😊
