I arrived here fresh from the plane and the place was the perfect place to accommodate. It’s not in the busy city center but close, which makes it more peaceful. I really enjoyed Santosh company and help in making me feel welcome! They serve a good breakfast as well. And it’s the perfect place to meet other travelers as well and share a nice experience ! I totally recommend it ! 🙏

Gurungs Home is named after what it is: a home. We felt very comfortable here. After the first room was too cold for us because we hadn't acclimatized yet, we got a room with heating without any problems. As I got sick the first few days in Kathmandu, we had to stay a few more nights. We were looked after very well and extending our stay was no problem. We also came back for one last night after our trek because we felt so comfortable. Santosh is the heart of the accommodation. Always a smile and a relaxed joke on his lips. The accommodation is 15-20 minutes from the city center. The rooms are clean and the water is super warm. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is always relaxed and family-like.

Owner is extremely friendly and creates a great atmosphere in the hostel. He even introduced me to a fellow trekker and we went on to do the Annapurna circuit together. By far the best place I have stayed at in Nepal. Also they do a solid milk tea.

Staff was excellent. Santosh, the guy at the reception is purely guest-centric. The property was well-maintained. Would like to return to the property again once I visit Kathmandu again. Highly recommended to all the budgeted travellers.

The owners are very friendly, they welcome you with a warm tea which makes you feel at home instantly! The property is very well located, walking distance from Thames for shopping and food but also in the quiet, away from any noise, lovely place!

The place is like a little green heaven in the middle of a city of concrete, feels refreshing and the staff is the best part, it’s like you’re part of the family, they treated me so well and had such a good time. Now I want to go back to Katmandou just for this place 😭

Everything was very good.

The rooms are exceptionally well decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean. meals are very good and well priced. The staff are exceptional in meeting customers needs. Home is the perfect name for them because that is how I felt. I would very highly recommend to anyone to stay here, you will be very happy with your choice if you do.

the best place where to stay in Kathmandu. perfect location (very very near center but outside the chaos of Thamel), staff super helpful for EVERYTHING you might need. the rooms are cozy and very clean. also food is super tasty and authentic. I came here in 2022 and every time I am in Kathmandu I ALWAYS go there.
