Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOur room was a little small and the bed was quite uncomfortable but other rooms seemed larger.
The location on the river provided a fantastic place to watch the wildlife and to enjoy the sunsets. Our room was very quirky..more like a treehouse. The owner and staff were friendly and attentive. There was an excellent hot , outside shower as well indoor showers. The property was very clean and attractive.

NetherlandsJust know that the rooms are made of bamboo so you can hear almost everything that’s going on outside, for us it was no problem, but if you’re a light sleeper it might be.
We had an amazing stay here! The owner is so friendly and helpful! The location is great, it is directly at the river across the national park. You can spot wild life while enjoying the very good food and drinks from the bar! They arranged a walking safari and jeep safari for us, both were very good! Great outside hot shower!

United KingdomDharmik and Suchenna are fabulous hosts and their Lodge is totally fantastic. I was so happy that I'd booked a 4 night stay and next time will stay even longer. My room was really comfortable and I love the thought and care that has gone into the quirky construction of the rooms, the rest areas outside each room, the dining areas, the washrooms, the open air hot water shower--in fact everything. The location is perfect, totally peaceful, right on the riverbank and with wonderful views at sunrise with the mists and at sunset and throughout the day. I was so happy to see rhinos, crocodiles, hornbills and many other birds from my seat on their riverbank and Suchenna was really good at making sure that I spotted all of the wildlife as it appeared. It is an easy flat walk to the local shops and to the bus station but there are plenty of tuk tuks if you don't want to walk. The food at Happy Lemon Tree was all freshly prepared and excellent and really reasonably priced and there's an amazing variety of both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks available. Nothing is too much trouble for Dharmik and Suchenna and all of their staff are just as helpful and friendly as they are. I particularly enjoyed Suchhenna's home made croissants and cinnamon rolls for breakfast and was really impressed when Dharmik sent out for some diet coke for me which is not on their menu. So many thoughtful touches that epitomise Dharmik and Suchenna's philosophy on hospitality. They go far beyond what should be expected and are absolutely wonderful and I cannot recommend Happy Lemon Tree enough--do not hesitate to book and make sure that you stay for as long as possible.

United KingdomHonestly there was nothing I didn't like.
Happy Lemon Tree was a vibe that I've never experienced in Nepal before. I have been to Nepal and particularly Chitwan 4 times. This was my favourite hotel from all my previous trips and my favourite hotel in all of Nepal. Not just Nepal but any other country I have been to. The staff and owners were lovely people who went out of their way to make my stay as good as it possibly could be. I celebrated my birthday there and they surprised me with a cake and wine. It will be a birthday ill never forget. The location is amazing and you are right on the river banks and can catch a beautiful sun set each evening. You can just sit there for hours and relax. It's the most relaxing experience I have had in Nepal. Well needed after spending 4 days in Kathmandu. I will be back to this hotel when I come back in the future. I don't even need to look for other hotels. I will be staying here for sure. It is just a beautiful peaceful vibe and the room is so cool. It's like living in a tree hut 🛖 well it's like that because you are lol I couldn't fault anything. I wish I could of stayed longer. Thanks to the owners and the staff for making my stay so amazing. Peace and Love 🤪❤️
