Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LebanonIt is good , no major thing, but it would be nice if they start renovating their bathrooms.
It is just what you need to have a good stay, in a good location it matches the paid price and fits the basic traveler needs.

New ZealandNo a major, but the hot water was a little hit and miss.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, they went the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable. Location was great, lots of places to eat and the market to wander around. NG helped arrange some tours and a scenic flight past Everest was a highlight.

AustraliaHotel Himalayan Oasis is a lovely place to stay. The staff are so kind and helpful and even kept our bags for us whilst we went trekking. The rooftop is the most beautiful spot to relax especially after a trek. Thank you for our stay. It was lovely.

AustraliaThe bathroom was a little run down just due to no fan although warm showers and provided slippers made it absolutely fine.
We had an absolutely lovely stay at Hotel Himalayan Oasis. The staff were so kind and lovely and made it feel like we were at a home away from home. The rooftop is THE BEST. Such a beautiful rooftop with plants and cute tables and chairs (There is also a travel agent that has an office upstairs and would definitely recommend speaking to them about trips and treks as even they were really lovely people to all hotel guests). Thamel is a bustling area so definitely don’t expect totally quiet nights although it was nothing we couldn’t sleep through. Very cool area for shopping and some great food around. Can be a bit more of a pricer area due to it being directed at tourists but it also means there are nice bakeries and a variety of restaurants.

BangladeshGreat staff, great management, very friendly and accommodating! The rooftop is a pleasant surprise where we were serenaded by the owner and his friends - a fabulous bunch of people! And the location is just in the middle of so many things in Thamel - a lot of stuff was accessible just by walking. Highly recommended!!

NepalThe bathroom could benefit from a slight update.
I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast served in the lovely garden just across the building. The location is perfect, situated in the heart of Thamel. The bed is also very comfortable, and the hot shower is excellent. The air conditioning functions well. Be sure to properly close the sliding windows to minimize any outside noise. The staff are awesome.

VietnamI got 6 small items done for laundry. Cost 2500 rupees which was outrageous. Partly my own fault for not checking the price first. Left a very bad taste after 3 excellent nights.
Nice vibe in a great location.

United KingdomThe breakfast was not actually in the hotel itself, it was in a separate garden restaurant/bar behind the hotel. The hotel rooftop was not currently available for use by guests. No hairdryer in the room and could not operate the TV. Plus for anyone wanting a quiet night to sleep this is not the location for you, very noisy cafes and bars very close by.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Very central location for shops and restaurants.

FinlandMaybe the staff don't need to know so much about guest's businesses and goings. Unfortunately the bar at the roof-top terrace was closed. The street, as all Thamel, is very noisy 23/7 (silent hour around 5 am).
Central location, attentive staff, the room had everything that was promised, free water daily.

United KingdomThe shower room needed lots of TLC
It was very cheap and you got what you paid for. The bathroom was awful with mouldy shower curtain at the window and unscrubbed tiles in the bathroom. The bedroom was not as bad. You can hear music quite loud as it is right in Thamel

United KingdomI booked a deluxe double room but was given a twin. The windows could do with cleaning.
Wifi worked well in my room, staff were friendly after I arrived but not very responsive to messages beforehand (eg booking an airport transfer). Considering the fantastic location right in the centre of Thamel, it 's very quiet at night. Double glazing helps. The rooftop is lovely.

United Arab EmiratesBreakfast was not included in my stay, but that’s to make way for you to explore the local cafes, restaurants and food dining options in the city as affordable as it was.
Quaint little hotel nestled in between cafes, restaurants, hotels and shops, right at the heart of Thamel, Kathmandu. Rooftop views of the city buildings make for spectacular views of the energy of the city. Hotel room was small and clean, just right if you’re a solo traveler or couple looking for an affordable solution for an inexpensive holiday. The hotel’s central location gives you easy walking access to the hotspots located in an around Kathmandu, with access to taxis and bikes to make your trip memorable.
