Beautiful place, nice staff, helping for everything, confortables beds, different rooftops and place to stay and chill. You can do some yoga on the rooftop. Food is nice (crêpe breakfast was sooo good! 😋). You can fill your bottle of water. Really worth it for the price ! The swimmingpool looks amazing but I haven't been, maybe next time 🤩

I really enjoyed my stay at Alobar1000. It is a good retreat in Thamel to relax and plan the rest of the trip in Nepal. All the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

I felt very comfortable and welcomed from the moment I arrived at Alobar1000! The staff are very friendly and helpful and even carried my heavy backpack up the stairs to my room for me. The private room at Alobar1000 is very large and clean and I loved the bay window overlooking the pool with a loveseat. The bed is very comfortable and the pillows and comforter are so soft and very high quality, which was unexpected (it reminded me of an expensive hotel room in the States). The bathroom is also very large and clean and I had plenty of hot water for showers as well as nice towels and soaps provided to use. I'll definitely return to Alobar1000 and really enjoyed my time there. I highly recommend staying here as you're going to love it!!!

It takes about 8 mnts for hot water to start flowing. Once it starts, it's all good but I felt like I was wasting water 😅

We came to Alobar Hostel twice during our stay in Nepal and really enjoyed it. The private rooms (which we stayed in twice) are very spacious, well equipped, clean and had everything we needed. The staff was super helpful and friendly, supported us with taxi bookings and were happy to answer all the questions we had. The location of Alobar is perfect, in the middle of Thamel with a lot of restaurants, cafes, shops and things to see around the corner. I can wholeheartedly recommend it as a great place to stay in Kathmandu.

The hostel has a chill vibe. There are multiple hangout areas, and a cafe with good coffee. The reception and the cleaning staff is quite friendly. I have been staying here for a couple of weeks and most days have been quite pleasant. Occasionally, there are some guests leaving early in the morning which is a but inconvenient, but overall a great place to stay in Kathmandu.

Alobar1000 hostel has been a go-to spot for visitors to Kathmandu for over 15 years, and you'll be sad to leave. The staff are dedicated, genuinely kind, and so attentive that they start to feel like family. The premises have been recently renovated, with very clean, high-quality facilities that are constantly improving—all at competitive rates. Located on the edge of Thamel, it’s close to everything but offers a peaceful escape from Kathmandu's chaos. The hostel has everything you need: a nice bar, high-quality yet reasonably priced restaurant and café, and a travel agency, “Dal Bhat Power,” offering professional service and skilled guides. People say you come to Nepal for the mountains but return for the people, and this couldn’t be truer for Alobar1000. You’ll have to experience it yourself. I only wish more people in the world were as wonderful as Tashi, the owner of this hostel.

Probably the best hostel in KTM. Overall very clean and amazing atmosphere. They have a travel desk where you can get great prices for trekking and ticketing. The lockers are very secure which was nice. Honestly wouldn’t look anywhere else in KTM.

I had an amazing time at Alobar1000! I met the best people and had so much fun. The hostel attracts an open-minded and outgoing crowd so it's very easy to make great connections, especially as a solo traveller—one of the best hostel experiences I have had. The place was very clean, the beds were comfortable and I appreciated the care from the staffs.
