Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

United StatesThe location is amazing! Right on the river, so make sure to get a room with a balcony overlooking and it's a great relaxation spot. It's only a 5-10 minute walk from the main street where all the restaurants are, so quiet, but convenient. The room and bathroom were a good size. Occasionally, I had trouble getting hot water, but I think it was a morning timing issue, because other times it was great. The beds were okay, but definitely not the best. The bottom sheet didn't cover the bottom of the mattress and once I noticed, I felt like I couldn't straighten my legs or I would touch the mattress. All of the staff were pleasant, but the man that runs the restaurant is an absolute gem. He makes a good breakfast, but is also happy to chat about all the animals on the river. He would always greet us as we were returning to our room and even checked to make sure we had enough toilet paper (this was the only hotel in Nepal where we actually did have enough). This place is an incredible value and I highly recommend it.

Location directly at the riverfront with terrace and sunsets, staff was very friendly and helpful, simple but good buffet-style breakfast, we booked a jeep tour with them and enjoyed it, they drove us to the bus station for free.

CanadaPrices for excursions were a quite high (at least for the multiday ones we were wanting). We found what we were looking for elsewhere though so not a problem!
Great spot with an amazing view of the river and park. Amazing service. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. Location can't be beat as it's only a couple minute walk to the main part of the town.

SwedenThe room was basic with uncomfortable beds, and not very clean bathroom. But overall that was minor compared to the positive
Amazing location overlooking the river. Several great seating areas to see rhino and crocodile. The grounds were much better than any photos. Staff were friendly and helpful in spotting wildlife.

AustraliaToilet had a bit of a funny smell but the bathroom was pretty good compared to a lot of other experiences in Nepal. No absorptive bathmat made showering a bit inconvenient (slippery floor when wet!) The fan made a grinding noise that made it hard to sleep. The restaurant food was pretty average and we found a maggot in the butter at the breakfast buffet. Reported this to the waiter and he just changed the knife and left the butter where it was.
The staff went above and beyond. We've never experienced such friendliness and hospitality. They helped with everything, and everything was so easy as a result!! Helped us book our safari and the manager even personally drove us to the airport at 6.30am. Room was beautiful and clean with a gorgeous balcony.

United KingdomNot the hotel’s fault but the neighbouring hotel has a noisy wedding/party one night which destroyed the peaceful sounds of the jungle a bit!
Absolutely beautiful location on the river. We stayed in the tent which is on an elevated level directly overlooking the river and has its own balcony, which is lovely for watching the sunset and for wildlife spotting. Tent has real beds and a great ensuite bathroom with mostly warm water. It was very cute and specious enough for our needs with little tables and shelves for your stuff. Room was very clean.

United KingdomWe stayed for two nights at the Jungle Wildlife Camp and we had a very pleasant stay. We were picked up from the bus station free of charge which was very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and had a lovely view across the river into the national park. We ate at the restaurant a number of times and the food was nice. The highlight of the whole stay was the front of house Sitaram who was incredibly friendly, welcoming and hospitable. He catered to our every need and even pointed out animals across the river when he saw them. Overall a lovely stay!

United KingdomThe only issue we encountered was that the hot water was often hit and miss, which was difficult after a long day in the national park we really wanted a nice hot shower.
This place is in a perfect location for a short walk to the main street street where all the bars, restaraunts and shops are, as well as right by the river which makes for lovely scenery when in the onsite restaraunt and if you just want to stroll down and enjoy some peace and beauty! The room was clean and had everything you may need, it also wasn’t too small which was great as it meant we had some space. There was working AC that also operated as a heater. The lady on reception was so friendly and helpful, and the restaraunt manager Sitaram was definitely worth staying at this hotel for alone, he is so lovely and great to talk with. Each morning he would look out for rhinos crossing the river and be sure to tell us so we could go and look, he helped spot a crocodile too when we first arrived and just always set out to make our time as comfortable as possible! The hotel buffet breakfast run by Sitaram is brilliant and great value for money, there’s loads of choices and Sitaram and his team will make hot drinks fresh for you! Lastly, what is amazing is they provide free transport between the hotel and tourist bus stop! This is great as means you don’t have to worry about bargaining for a tuk tuk and can get in a comfy van and be there right away! Definitely recommend this hotel for a serene and easy going time in Chitwan!
