The staff was the best thing about this hotel. I also liked that it was small and boutique-feeling. Can't get a better location. Central to everything and in the fun part of city and yet on a quiet side-street. Can't do better than this location of you want to be in Thamel area.

We had just arrived into Kathmandu from a brief visit from India in which we had fell ill. Immediately upon arriving, the hotel and level of service was a welcoming relief. Mr. Dol Prasad Amgai and his team assisted us in every way imaginable to get us as functioning humans again. This included assisting in identifying where to obtain medications, having special dietary items available to eat, coordinating transportations, late checkout, luggage storage, providing city information, and more. Beyond the personalized services they provided, the hotel itself is perfectly located in the Thamel district convenient to all the activities yet off on a quiet side street. The decor, cleanliness and amenities were outstanding. Without question I would highly recommend staying at the Kailash Boutique Hotel again. Fortunately for us, we will be doing so on the back end of our two week visit through Nepal.

The location of hotel is bit confusing and they should provide proper landmarks

The stay was quite comfortable. I had my elderly parents with me and the staff was quite pro active to help them. All the services were excellent. Food served was also very good. We really enjoyed the stay at kailash boutique hotel.

My 22yr old daughter was traveling along and she immediately felt comfortable and safe with the friendly staff. They made sure she knew about breakfast, helped with taxis around town and back to the airport and were kind and respectful and so friendly!

From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed. The staff was exceptionally friendly, always greeting us with warm smiles and making sure we were comfortable. The hotel rooms were fantastic—well-heated, with plenty of warm water, and the beds were so cosy that we slept like babies. The breakfast each morning was delicious, with a great selection of food, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We were especially lucky to have Dol, the hotel manager, assist us with our trip. Since we arrived without a set itinerary, he took the time to plan an incredible 10-day journey for us, filled with amazing experiences and hidden gems we wouldn’t have discovered on our own. His recommendations and organization made our trip truly unforgettable. We can’t thank him enough for his kindness and hospitality. Nice bedrooms. Ours had a lovely balcony. Loads of hot water. Breakfast was very fulfilling. The staff and esp the manager and reception staff are exceptional. It was my birthday when they got me a cake and decorated the room!! Also arranged a hike trip. Would very much recommend this hotel.

Kailash is located on a quieter street (no traffic noise) in Central Thamel, 15-20 minute walk to the Square. Surrounded by lots of varied restaurants, shops, and spas. The rooms are very modern and well-equipped with a refrigerator. Breakfast is substantial and varies daily. A high point are the incredibly gracious staff, who go out of their way to help, especially Rasmile and Dol. we enjoyed staying so much, we are returning at the end of our trip to Nepal. You'd be hard pressed to find a better deal in KTM--and they pick you up at the airport for free.

The environment is safe, comfortable, and clean. Most importantly, every staff member I encountered here was incredibly kind and genuinely cared about the guests. It truly felt like home. Guess it is the best hotel in Nepal for this price. Staff are well trained and hotel manager is so great that you're getting into The Grand Budapest Hotel movie. Breakfast is good and kitchen is very fast.

We had a great time in this hotel, the room was immaculately clean and well furnished. Bathroom is superb as well. What made our stay special and memorable however, were the staff members, who were so welcoming and helpful the entire time. Especially Punit from the reception stood out, whether with great advice or when organizing our ride to the airport. Thank you once more!
