Very nice hotel in the heart of Thamel in a silent street. The rooms have good beds, AC, hot water with good pressure, and fast Wi-Fi. Would recommend staying here, and will stay here myself when I come back to Nepal

- toilets were clean and well furnished with toiletries, hair dryer and towels - offered luggage service. Kept our baggage safe for 1 week - hotel manager contacted and updated me regarding early airport closure, and offered to fetch my friends and I. Experience was very seamless, and pleasant. No stress - services was efficient and my questions were answered promptly

The hotel is a fantastic place to stay when in Kathmandu, it’s close enough to the Main Street of Thamel but enough around its corner not to be a hindrance because of its intensity, just perfect location. I couldn’t speak in more superlatives about the manager and the staff, they’ve been helpful in every possible way, even to the point Dol (the manager) remembered about us leaving the hotel early morning, before the breakfast was served, so the staff prepared a breakfast box for us to take away - I don’t think I was this surprised about someone in a long time. The hotel has a desk where you can ask questions about hikes, treks and expeditions you’re going to be doing in Nepal, they can also help organize things for you. We had our luggage stored away for 2 weeks while we went hiking the Annapurna Circuit, came back to this absolutely clean and lovely place, felt like home. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

There was nothing not to like. Ask the breakfast staff to prepare your eggs however you would like them. Scrambled, fried etc. Nothing is too much trouble.

The property and the hotel room were impeccable. We are a couple in our 60’s who have spent a few weeks in India as tourists. Kailash Botique hotel and Kathmandu was a relaxing reprieve from India. The manager and assistant who was an I.T. Expert helped me solve a difficult situation with a problem I was having. The hotel is situated in a quiet lane close to shops, cafes and restaurants. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

Very nice hotel, located on a quiet street. Rooms are well designed, beds are very comfortable, bathrooms morden, hot water pressure is good. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The poroperty is managed very well. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was, ok. Coffee was not. Hotel is in need of good reviews so they’ll do a lot to make that happen. That’s a good thing, but it feels like they are pushing it a bit.

Very nice hotel, super good and quiet location. Comfortable beds, hot showers with more than enough water pressure. Clean and big rooms. Friendly and good English speaking staff. Would recommend for a stay in Thamel.

I would say it is one of the best hotels in Nepal! In addition to the perfect location, the rooms are large enough and all facilities are very clean and well-equipped. Also, every staff is super friendly and supportive! They definitely made our day in Katmandu!

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They arranged free transport from Kathmandu airport. They also allowed us to check in very early as we arrived on an early morning flight. The hotel was very central to the Thamel area but was very quiet as it is located on a side street off a side street.There was a good choice at the breakfast buffet and they provided a packed breakfast on the morning we were leaving.

It’s a beautiful, clean and quiet place in the middle of Thamel. The place you want to stay to be close of everything. Dol (manager) is always ready to help and sort anything you need in Kathmandu. From treks, to money exchange, to laundry, etc. Coffee bar is excellent. Bishal is the man, always ready to serve espressos ;)

Bathroom lighting was a tad dim.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kailash. The hotel's location is excellent, being walking distance to many restaurants and shops in Thamel. It was tucked away in a quieter street which we loved as it was very peaceful once we returned to our room. Breakfast is buffet style with plenty of variety. The manager and team at Kailash were friendly - always happy to help with a smile. We especially appreciated the airport transfer - thank you! We would not hesitate to stay at Kailash again on our next trip to Kathmandu.
