Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

This hotel is great. This was my 2nd time here and I know I will be returning. My room was big, can easily fit all your big luggage. Bathroom was big too. All very clean. AC unit was strong. The staff very polite and ready to answer all your questions. Also the free airport pickup was an amazing detail about this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay here! On our journey from India to Kathmandu we both got food poisoning & upon arrival at the hotel the staff did everything they could to help us. We felt very looked after & this continued for the duration of our stay. The location of the hotel was great, right in the middle of Thamel, close to everything. The room was spacious & spotlessly clean & breakfast was good, especially the coffee. But for us, the staff were the highlight. We have been travelling for almost 2 years & they are up there with the best we've ever encountered. We felt so welcome - thank you for having us!

The owner and staff of Karma Hotel Nepal were so welcoming and friendly, helped me with all my queries and offered great recommendations. The location is great, room and bathroom were very clean, A/C worked well and the bed was comfortable. Can highly recommend the place!

There were mosquitos in our rooms that always came from somewhere but we dealt with them
Everything was good!!! Breakfast was very nice, and the staff also very helpful. Helped us get back the bag that got stuck in airport. Would recommend and would come again!

Friendly staff, good coffee, and the best beds in Kathmandu. Every morning on the mountain we said we can’t wait to get back to Karma to sleep on their beds! Also perfect location and very clean. They also offer a locker if you go trekking. One stop shop!
