The toilets and showers are depending on your room 2 a view floors up and kinda outside which made going to the toilet at night a bit uncomfortable but nothing too crazy.

Had two different rooms which where both very nice (the one a bit more expensive was of course a bit nicer). The restaurant area is beautiful but it’s not too crazy social. The staff is very helpful and it’s a good place to escape the load city.

-walking distance to the bus stop to Pokhara -super friendly staff that can help you arrange anything: bus tickets, trekking, sightseeing in the city, airport pick up and drop off -very clean and comfortable -great location in Thamel near all the shops and restaurants -there is a restaurant on site that has very good food, so if you are tired you don’t even have to leave the hostel to get food!

Comfortable and clean hostel, very nice beds and on a side street from all the traffic with a garden where you can chill. The food was delicious and staff super friendly and helpful. Would stay again, and I did.

One of my favorites of hostels I’ve stayed in. I feel so comfortable and at home in this place. And will be coming back when I’m next in Kathmandu. Their facilities were beyond what I expected: a hot shower with GREAT pressure, clean toilets, super comfortable and warm beds, great WiFi service, super friendly and helpful staff, amazing food at the restaurant downstairs, and a generally homely and safe place in a great location within Thamel.

There was no curtain in the toilet and neighbors could see me taking a shower, I suggest to get one to respect the guests privacy. Also, shower water was leaking a bit in the room and if you leave it like this it will become mold which is unpleasant

Very well located, and I really enjoyed chilling in the garden. Staff is very welcoming and it is a great place to start your trip from. Also I made a few friends from other guests staying here, so I highly recommend recommend to solo travellers

Amazing location and super friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are really clean. The place feels like a true oasis of peace amongst the loud surrounding streets. Highly recommend staying here when exploring Kathmandu. Staff speaks perfect English and will always help you out.

First of all, the staff is always super polite and helpful and it makes your stay already perfect. Dorm was extremely clean (showers as well) and all day two ladies are running for cleaning. But what I really loved was location: you are close to all attractions but also you can feel calm atmosphere in the hostel. Thanks to previous comments owners, I could make perfect choice.

The cleaner took away my stuff which I left on my bed and only after 1 day I was given it back. I even told the receptionists that cleaners aren’t allowed to touch guests’ things no matter even if they have to do their job. There is a nice garden downstairs but the moment you take a sit one of the staff members come up to you and ask you if you wish to buy anything. At first sight, this doesn’t seem bad. But I was there only for taking a rest or reading my book and the moment I sat they used to approach with selling mindset and that made me uncomfortable to sit in the garden area. The food, drinks are two or three times more expensive than what you get outside. So I never dined there. I stayed on the second floor and the bathroom was almost always occupied even at 5am. Because it was the only one for three rooms on the same floor. Maybe there should have been two bathrooms to avoid unnecessary congestion.

It’s located in Thamel which is the central touristy area. Generally speaking, the staff are helpful, understanding, and cooperative. The hostel looks pretty comfortable.

Very very clean and comfortable place to stay. Once you get settled here, you will not want to go anywhere else. I spent 6 days in this hostel and now it feels like home away from home. Amazing common area, staff is very helpful and delicious food.

The hostel is very clean, and the beds are comfortable. It completely pays off - the staff is very nice, and the restaurant at the hostel is delicious. I’ve been travelling for a long time, and Kwabahal has been a top hostel I stayed at in Asia. The WiFi is also good and stable.

The hostel is excellent. Very central and close to the main attractions. Besides that, they have a restaurant where you can eat delicious food with a good range of prices. They also have a garden if you need to work and the beds are very comfortable.

Nothing to say about the property, but watch out for the scammers (in thamel especially). If people want to “practice their English “ with you, I recommend to politely send them off.

I really liked the rooftop. Plenty on space to move the body. The rooms were regularly cleaned and the bathroom several times a day. Many thanks for the staff for making the stay so pleasant. The location is very central, but still it is very quiet during the night.

Not that this is the hostel's fault but I'd like to add some comments for fellow travellers purely to inform people. It's nice having more info before you book. Toilets and showers are in the rooftop for the upper floor rooms and in the winter it gets a bit chilly. If you need to use the toilet at night keep this in mind. Female dorm was small and lockers only fit small backpacks and personal belongings and not the whole backpack but it felt safe and this wasn't a problem for me. Also, for private rooms you need to ask them to come inside and clean as they want your permission first. Just keep this in mind. I would stay again in Kwabahal!

Staff is great in this hostel, kind and polite. Excellent location in Thamel in a little alley which keeps the traffic noise away. There was construction work next door while I stayed there but hopefully this is finished soon. Outdoor space / garden is great! I stayed in a private room the first days due to my cough. The room was spacious and tidy. Bathroom was good, I just felt a bit cold due to having a mesh and not a glass window. The garden is beautiful and the food and coffee served is excellent. I met some other travellers at the garden which was nice as I had company for a few days. Cleanliness was excellent! They cleaned everg day and the toilets were very clean.
