Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyNo ventilation in room. You can’t even open the window. Very humid inside if the room, especially after a shower. The beds were a bit wet because of the humidity and it was uncomfortable to sleep.

SerbiaOn the booking it’s mentioned they have a bar on the rooftoo but once we got there the receptionist told us there isn’t a bar yet, they are building it. Also, compared to other places in Nepal, service was okay, but without much effort for kindness.
The whole place is new, clean and modern.

United Arab EmiratesIt was disturbing and noisy when the dogs are barking from the house opposite the hotel. The breakfast was limited, would be good to have more options.
The hotel may not be very big but the location is very close to Thamel, walking distance. The rooms are modern, clean and with good facilities although not really noise proof.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Services were quick and efficient. Even though, the location is within the center, it was quiet place especially better for recuperating from the long flights and travel. Foods were mostly served Chinese but it was served fresh and delicious. Very clean bed and bathroom. The arts hung around the facility were of local culture that gives you the idea and the knowledge of Nepal’s culture. Very affordable and best price for all the services you could get. Thank you all the staff of Lakhey Hotel for making my stay comfortable.

Czech RepublicThank you for a great stay. The rooms are new, very clean and quiet. The beds are wide, comfortable without creaking. There is a Chinese restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel. The hotel is within walking distance to Thamel or Durbar Square. The hotel manager was very nice and helpful, he recommended us inDrive taxi app. The taxi ride from Durbar Square to the hotel costs approximately 300NPR. You need a Nepali phone number for the app to work. We got this right at the airport where we bought a sim card with 115Gb of data for 1499NPR for 30 days. Very cheap data unlike Airalo which is very expensive in Nepal. Probably because the rooms are new, there is no safe and some shelves in the in the bathroom. But the manager allowed us to keep our money in the safe at the reception. We have to recommend the hotel unequivocally. Thank you

NepalI recently stayed at Lakhey Hotel for a night, and overall, it was a positive experience. The hotel is conveniently located, making it an ideal choice for travelers looking to explore the local area or needing a comfortable stopover. The room I stayed was clean and well-maintained, with a cozy ambiance that made me feel at home. The bed was comfortable, and the linens were fresh, which contributed to a restful night's sleep. The decor was simple but tasteful, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like the complimentary bottled water and tea/coffee-making facilities. The hotel offers a range of amenities, including free Wi-Fi, which worked well throughout my stay. The on-site restaurant provided a decent breakfast and chinese sichuan cuisine. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making sure I had everything I needed. Service was a highlight of my stay. The front desk staff were welcoming and efficient during check-in and check-out. They also provided helpful recommendations for nearby attractions and dining options, which added a personal touch to the stay. The location of Lakhey Hotel is quite convenient. It's situated close to Thamel and local market Asan. Considering the quality of the accommodations and the level of service provided, the hotel offers good value for money. It's a solid choice for travelers seeking a comfortable, no-frills stay. Overall Lakhey Hotel is a reliable option for a comfortable stay. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a practical and pleasant place to stay.

United StatesLakhey Horel is worth highly recommend in Kathmandu. It ‘s lovely and quiet place that I never found in Thamel before. The new hotel that open 2023 is really clean and comfortable with complete facilities. The staff can provide multiple languages service for international travelers. I booked trekking service from hotel. Their guides and poters are qualified and reliable. Even more to the point, their Chinese restaurant is delicious with fusion style for tasting internationally.

United StatesEverything was great.
We found the hotel to be new and very nice and just a short walk to Thamel. The buffet breakfast was good and is designed more towards a Chinese style breakfast but we were offered a continental breakfast if we preferred, which I tried my last day. It was more like a western style meal and almost more than I could eat. The best thing about the hotel though was how helpful and kind all the staff were. It was definitely the kindest and most helpful hotel staff I have ever experienced in all my hotel stays.
