There is nothing I don't like but it would be good if the hot water was more reliable and the bathrooms a bit more organised. Towels could be improved as well. The entry is also a bit tricky for cars to come and go.

I have stayed here eight times now over nearly 20yrs. I am comfortable with the people, the rooms, the meals - all things Nepal. Hotel Manag continues to provide the true Nepali cultural feel. You can get the slick 5star experience anywhere - go for authentic Nepal. Breakfast is lovely and the chef aims to please. The bathrooms are always a challange and hot water is sometimes hard to get, but once you have been treking .., the bathrooms suddenly are wonderful. The new renovation is great - the pool and outdoor sitting area is really lovely. The pool is enticing and the new SPA (massages etc) wonderful. The staff are always willing to go over and above and assist you as much as possible. The greeting on every arrival and when you go out, is a true blessing. staff keeping an eye on you and making you feel welcome. The location is on the outskirts of Tamel but the local shops and vendors are lovely & still there nearly 20 years. They all make you welcome. Azam (the jeweller) just across the road & down about 10 metres has amazingly beautiful & genuine items & for real Cashmere, seek out Rayees, on the left side of the road, down towards the Kathmandu Guest house.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Manang in Kathmandu and would like to share my enthusiastic opinion about this great hotel. From the moment I entered the hotel I was greeted with a warm smile and a warm welcome. The service at Hotel Manang was very accommodating and left nothing to be desired. The culinary experience at Hotel Manang was excellent. Thanks to Sagar Baruwal. The waitresses Neema and Salina were extremely attentive, professional and courteous. The cleanliness and comfort at Hotel Manang were also very good. The rooms were thoroughly cleaned daily and the entire staff made every effort to create a pleasant atmosphere. The location of the hotel is ideal, as it is close to many attractions, yet offers a quiet environment.

Airport/hotel/airport transportation was supposed to be included in the offer. Despite the precision of the flight and the time of arrival by email and WhatsApp, twice, no one was there. Anyway it was not expensive but it's just for the principle, and it must be said that for the day of departure, the airport shuttle service was provided.

A hotel well located in the center of Thamel, with swimming pool and Spa. The room was okay but too noisy because it overlooked the terrace with a living room just under the window which was full of noisy people. The staff was available and professional with a special mention for the restaurant, from the chef to all the servers without exception. The buffet breakfast (mix between Nepalese and Western cuisine) was good as well as the dishes on the menu, tasty and plentiful.

The poor Wi-Fi in the room - but the WIFI in the lobby was strong :) To improve the quality of products in the spa. other than that it was pleasant property to stay at - thank you team for your effort.

The location is fantastic - is in the best tourist attraction destination (in heart of Thamel) very close to any where in Kathmandu. The staff are very helpful - they try their best to make us happy and have an enjoyable stay. They arranged our Mont. Everest airplane trip and the driver was very professional

The pool is not really usable, it is small, cold and dirty. There are a few changes we would recommend: The restaurant is amazingly slow, it is not the end of the world as there are many places to eat nearby. The rooms have an annoying system that beeps every time somebody doesn't look properly their room, and it happens a lot , it is especially annoying when it happens at 2am or 6am/ Overall, we really liked the hotel and with these small changes it is a good

The hotel is located at a very good point at the entrance to the Thamel but not too deep inside. it is near all the backpackers facilities. There are two types of rooms, the basic ones are not so great, the shower splashes every where, and there is no safe. However the more expensive rooms have a bath tab, they are very quiet given the location and they have a hair drier and a safe. Most of the staff members are really kind and helpful.

The hotel forgot about my pickup so I had to wait outside for 30 minutes. Washroom wasn't that clean and toilet was not flushing properly from day one. Also walking on Thamel road next to the hotel was really stressful for me as I was harrassed by people trying to sell me illegal products & services every 10 seconds and they wouldn't leave me alone even when I say no so I wish there would be more security there in the future.

Staff were very friendly, Value was overall good and convenient location with many stores & restaurants nearby.
