Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomMulberry is a beautiful modern hotel in a great location. It is very comfortable, great bedrooms, pool/ bar area and restaurant. Staff and service are outstanding. Staff went the extra mile to make sure I had everything I needed when I wasn’t feeling too well on my 2nd stay in the hotel as part of my trip. The hotel isn’t the cheapest in the area however is well worth it especially if you wish some home comforts after a trek or day in Kathmandhu. I highly recommend and I will definitely visit again Thank you! 😊

SingaporeIt’s a bit tired and rough around the edges. Basic facilities like making international calls and reserving a larger taxi weren’t available. Breakfast could be better.
Location is excellent, right in the heart of Thamel. General Manager Niraj was great at helping solve some issues we encountered. My ratings here are based on the suite that Niraj moved us to because of problems with the original Exec room booked.

Abkhazia, GeorgiaThe Management Team, failed to acknowledge guests on a number of occasions whist walking around the hotel.. Maybe I should have been in a smarter attire!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Mulberry in Katmandu and I must say it was an incredible experience. The hotel's clean and spacious rooms, as well as the general area, were outstanding. The rooftop bar and pool offered a serene getaway from the hustle and bustle of the streets, with breathtaking views of the city. The hotel staff were nothing but professional and courteous, making our stay even more pleasant. The bar staff were especially friendly, making us feel right at home. We also had the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing spa treatment, which was truly enjoyable. It was evident that the hotel's attention to detail and focus on guest comfort was a top priority. Overall, Hotel Mulberry is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay in Katmandu. The hotel's amenities, staff, and services are top-notch, and I would highly recommend it to anyone planning a visit to the city. In fact, I look forward to returning to Hotel Mulberry on my next trip to Katmandu

AustraliaDidn’t like Thali meal. Some of it tasted bitter and black beans so hard they could crack your teeth.
Breakfast good. Not always easy to attract service for dinner or lunch. No one in attendance.

United KingdomNot really a complaint - At the airport, the hotel had sent a courtesy car but we didn't know and so ran the gauntlet of taxi drivers outside the airport vying for business - not a nice experience at 11 o'clock at night! So TOP TIP - take the Hotel courtesy car to avoid the hassle of aggressive taxi drivers at the airport. Also, taxi drivers seem to have difficulty finding the hotel - another TOP TIP put the hotel on Google maps on your phone so the driver can see where it is.
All the staff were brilliant and reception spent an afternoon phoning our airline when we had a ticketing issue - they were great! The hotel was clean and all members of staff were smiley and welcoming. Breakfast was very good and the food during the evening was excellent. Our room was clean and tidy with a balcony offering a city view.

AustraliaGreat location, wonderful staff, gorgeous spacious rooms (we stayed in a suite). We were travelling for our honeymoon and the team at the Mulberry made our stay especially wonderful by decorating our room with balloons and flowers upon our arrival. It was fantastic and very much appreciated. We definitely recommend staying here.

AustraliaThere was nothing we didn't like. Would definitely stay here again next time we are in Kathmandu.
The staff at Hotel Mulberry were wonderful. They were extremely attentive to all our requests and nothing was ever a problem. Niraj and his team are wonderful! The location of the hotel is also really good. It is located in Thamel, but just away from the main street, so you get a bit of an escape from the noise! The breakfast had a really good selection and the free airport transfers were a nice bonus!

AustraliaThe pool was freezing cold! We booked in for 5 nights after trekking to EBC and the main reason for the booking was the pool but it was too cold to use :( Breakfast looked beautiful but there wasn’t actually a lot of choice.
Great location and the staff were excellent. The room was fantastic and the atmosphere really made the place feel high end.

AustraliaI had a bit of an issue with the shower on the second night. As you have to press a button for the water to come out of the shower head and not the lower tap, but the button wasn’t clicking in.
Breakfast was amazing, with chefs cooking you omelettes on the spot. The room was clean and super comfortable. Internet was fast. Spa is good value for money! Rooftop pool is the cherry on top! Would definitely stay again, highly recommend.

United KingdomPainfully slow bkfast service and service all round was a huge negative.15 minutes for flask of hot milk and 20 mins for omelette brought over on a freezing cold plate. Bland, unappetising selection of food with nothing really hot enough. Stale looking pastries. Solemn background music on repeat every 30 seconds for over 30 minutes was so stuffy so atmosphere like a wake. Waiting staff so slow and were absent most of service . Ordered tea by the pool after 30 minutes still not arrived despite kitchen / bar area directly there and I had to leave by time tea arrived. It was a good stay in this hotel but would prefer something with much better service for the price paid as its the service thats most important during a hotel stay and sadly this was lacking here and was just a bit of a boring place.
Hotel in the heart of Thamel. Room very clean, comfy beds but very heavy quilts. Room hot at night. Aircon whistled a little. Bathroom great rainshower and toiletries. Airport transfers a real bonus for pick up at arrivals with your name on a large placard in a safe vehicle and good driver. Fabulous complimentry extra which pipped it for us between our choices of two hotels. Pool and bar area good but busy and pool too cold to swim in but Ok to hang out for an hour or so but not luxurious especially when service so slow ordering a drink etc.
