Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainAll it was great. You are in the mountains so a bit chilly at night but they have great blankets that would keep you warm. Do not expect luxury it is local place not hotel. But really clean and good.
Best place to live with local nepalis family and see their daily life. It is a traditional house and they serve traditional food. Well located to see the views. They are really friendly and it is a good way to contribute to local people business instead of big hotels.

IndiaNothing from my end. Just cherish and respect the place and everything will automatically start coming towards you. Home food, grazing goats with amazing view to sit and nice short forest trails!
This place is a beautiful abode for solo travellers with such warm and welcoming hosts, i.e. Mr. Kishore and his wife. I wish I had more time to spend here so that I can explore the culture more. You don't really have to go to the top view point when you get to see sunrise when you wake up right from the window of your room. They also give you amazing organic food home cultivated. I'd love to be back here and spend some peaceful time here with the villagers. They have a good trail to reach the house around 10-15 min walk. The hosts are filled with so much energy appreciating the beauty and infectious smile that you'll remember forever. I'll be back here next time and also go around to see the village and understand their culture more. Lots of love to Nagarkot :) 🙂❤️

IndiaWhile my overall experience at Nagarkot Trekkers Inn was delightful, the Wi-Fi connection was inconsistent, which was a minor inconvenience. Additionally, the room could have benefited from additional amenities or updated furnishings to enhance comfort.
I thoroughly enjoyed the family-like welcome and warm hospitality at Nagarkot Trekkers Inn. The delicious home-cooked meals were a highlight, providing a taste of authentic flavours and adding to the homely atmosphere. The mesmerizing sunrise view from the balcony left you in awe and created lasting memories of the natural beauty surrounding the hotel.

United StatesOne of the best homestay experiences we’ve ever had out of 42 countries. Incredible organic food from the farm, sunrise views over 8000m peaks in the Himalaya, an amazing host that helped organize all of our hikes/taxis/etc. Hot (Nepali) shower and all at very very reasonable prices. So much better and more fulfilling of an experience than staying at a hotel. If you’re reading this and want to experience local Nepali life, stay here.

DenmarkInternet works yet not the best of the best, but definitely good enough to do what one have to do.
The view is amazing both during the day and night, it will change a lot. It was very clear in the morning where you could see everything including the big mountains and the beautiful sunrise. In the day it turned more misty and in the night the sky with all the stars was amazing. Beside the wonderful family who run the place this is what I’ll remember this place for. The food I got served was made out of vegetables from the garden just in front of the house, very nice and healthy. And the family is wonderful, joyful and very welcoming. I don’t think they would be capable of bad service even if they wanted to.

United StatesThe shower is slightly difficult, and requires an open mind to push past the awkwardness of the shower room. It's smaller than what most people would (probably) prefer.
First and foremost, the hosting family is incredibly supportive and hands-on, or hands-off. Daily collective aspects like: breakfast in the courtyard, nightly campfires, and a locally grown, organic, flavourful dinner (dal bhat) provided me--a solo traveler- daily structure, comfort, and social engagement in an unexpected place. The location is delightful, in a quaint hillside, tea village, near the goats, and local families.

SlovakiaReal nepali homestay, the family is super nice and helpful, delicious organic food in beautiful nature, calm area, great views on the mountain from the property and really hot shower. Please be aware that this is a homestay not a hotel, so if you want something fancy, choose something different. It reminds me a bit the accomodation on the trek. And dont forget to bring warm clothes.

United KingdomThe bed was very hard, but that's not too unusual in Nepal. If you prefer your own company then this might not be the place for you - the owner and a couple of his brothers took turns sitting with us by the fire to chat. We enjoyed this but some might not. I think the beers (500 for a can) were expensive, and I think the accommodation price is a little expensive for what it is.
Great place to stay if you want to hike - we chose to walk to the homestay after the Nature Trail and Panoramic Hike (use maps.me, it's easy enough to find trails leading to the homestay). It's a very peaceful setting. The owners are helpful and friendly and the dahl baht dinner was delicious. We sat by a campfire in the evening which was very enjoyable. Make sure you bring warm clothes as it gets cold up there.
