Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe liked everything about the National Park Hotel, it really has no bad points. Friendly and helpful wherever possible. We had the best food and the best guides. We saw absolutely everything but tiger. The food was bettere than any we saw in town. Comfortable bed and loads of hot water. There are paddy fields around that attract lots of birds.

Czech RepublicVery pleasant stay, firstly we booked only two nights, but stayed three. The best staff we have had so far. Nothing was a problem. We were picked up from the bus station. And could book all our jungle adventures through our hotel. Everybody was very helpful and sweet. Felt safe and hotel is convenient distance from the city center.

United Kingdomcant fault
Great family run business, great fresh food, hot shower, nice beds, good value safari trips with fantastic guides, I also did a tower stay in jungle overnigt. There was also a wild rhino right outside the hotel one night & a wild elephant in the distance, they enthusiastically knocked on doors to let everyone know and took us right to it! Great people, felt like home

Sometimes you come to a place where the host immediately makes you feel at home. Suraj Raj Shrestha is such a host. He makes you feel welcome and comfortable from the beginning and helps with everything. There is a nice homely atmosphere in his hotel/homestay. The rooms are nice and clean and there are facilities to do laundry. Good food is provided. The place is close to the village and the river. Suraj Raj Shrestha booked 3 day walking safari for me and that was amazing. With my 2 guides (Surya and Som) I felt safe and comfortable as a solo traveller. I would definately recommend this place and this safari.

NetherlandsThe food is really good, the rooms are simple but with everything you need. The staff stands out here: they do absolutely everything to make you feel at home and to make the best out of your stay: from arranging safaris into the park, to picking up and bringing you to the bus stop. The owner chased the bus in his motorbike for another traveler who forgot her jacket! Some staff members are also chitwan park guides, with a lot of knowledge on animals, etc.

SpainOne of the best places I have ever stayed. The place is clean, conveniently close to the town but in a quiet environment, and with Perry good facilities. But what is really great about this hotel is the people. Suraj, his family and his staff (and of course his dog Khali!) will make you feel incredibly welcomed, help you with everything you need, from safari organisation with excellent guided to personal issues, and will make hotel national park you're home far from home. Thank you for this week my brother!!

SloveniaAll was great!
The accommodation exceeded my expectations. All the staff, especially the owner, go out of their way to meet every wish. There is also a restaurant in the property which offers a variety of food and drinks at good prices. The most important fact is that the owner goes out of his way to organise safaris and other activities available in the area. The location is also excellent, as it is on the outskirts of the town and offers a quiet stay and a good night's sleep. Very good value for money. Highly recommended.

ChinaThe hotel owner was very talkative and enthusiastic, but my English was not very good. The shuttle service to and from the bus station was included, which was very good and very convenient. We finally booked a day trip to Chitwan, which was reasonably priced.

BelgiumOur stay was perfect from A to Z: - the bedroom and bathroom were big, clean, they had all the facilities we needed - many breakfast options, all delicious - the hotel location is close to the city center but in a quiet area, and you have a good chance to see a rhino next to the hotel The owner really goes the extra mile for everything: - he arranged a 2-day safari for us at a very competitive price, the activities were great and our guide (Tilak) was the absolute highlight of our stay: he was so knowledgeable about nature, the animals, the Tharu culture and he’s a bird specialist - he offers free pick up and drop off from the bus station and from the Tharu cultural show - I forgot my jacket when leaving and he washed it and sent it back to Kathmandu on the next bus If you want personalized service and peace of mind, don’t hesitate to book your hotel and safari here!

Czech RepublicNice accomodation for a very good price. Near the river, where you can spot crocodiles, rhinos and other animals. Suraj arranges a program for you that fits your wishes so that you can get the most from your stay. I can really recommend the boat trip followed by a jungle walk, where you can spot a lot of animals!

BelgiumHost is very welcoming and helps you with jeep safaris, walking tours, etc for a good deal; however it needs to be said that this time of the year, you won't be seeing a lot of wildlife as the grass is about 8m tall, I saw a few rhinos in the dense jungle and some deer, many birds during the jeep tour and only deer and birds during the walking tour. I would opt to visit March, April, May when the grasses are burned and wildlife can be spotted more easily.
