Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Hard for the taxi to find it. Toilet seat was loose and did not quite fit the toilet. Parts of some interior corners were taped over with sheathing tape - unsightly.
Loved the location. Loved the responsiveness, kindness, and instant availability of the staff. Nice to not have to climb stairs; everything is on the ground floor.

I don't eat breakefast. The lokation is very close to the stupa. The lokation is very quiet.

I like cleaner places but for the price it was just perfect.
Very near to.the Boudnath stupa, very friendly and helpful stuff.

The room and bathroom don´t have a heater, so during the winter they were very cold. There is not a restaurant for meals, only a small kitchen where they prepare the breackfast.
The staff were always smilling and happy to help us. We arrived at night and they were pleased to accomodate us. The rooms are small but the beds are confortable, bed sheets are very white and clean. They had hot shower. They prepared us breakfast even when they didn´t have their kitchen personel. The breakfast was good, omellet with toast and jelly, and tea. They allowed us to use their kitchen to heat up water. Their garden is like a paradise in the midst of a caotic city. Our rooms were in the ground floor which was great as we had heavy luggages.

I would like a wiper in the bathroom.

Very nice and cosy little hotel around a garden and located in a back alley near Buddha Stupa. The kids loved it and it was the nicest place we stayed at in Ktm. Will come back if we are back in town.

All was fine.
The staff were extremely helpful. The location was just 200m from the stupa. The garden area was much appreciated and absent from most other places on booking.com.

Amazing quiet green place located in short walking distance from busy Boudhha stupa in Kathmandu. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food and breakfast, boiled water, small relaxation/meditation zone.

Friendly staff, always helped me. Super close to the stupa, restaurants and everything I needed. Hot water all the time. Clean room and place in general with a small garden with chairs and tables to rest. Not noisy because it is located in an alley. Good for laundry too.

Located only a few minutes walk from the Boudhanath Stupa, this place is so peaceful and cozy. If you want to stay in a quiet place, away from Nepal's traffic, this is the place to stay. When I was there, there was always someone at the reception area 24 hours to take care of your needs and questions. That is what I appreciate the most. Water was hot. Room is clean and comfortable.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's very clean. They even provided bottled water and some toiletries, and have a small kitchen where I got hot water for my tea. And the location is really good and close to the Stupa.
