Good hotel, clean room and bathroom They provide hair dryer, A/C, complimentary water 2 bottles Balcony in the room with nice view of the lake It is located in the central area of the lakeside Breakfast is very good, starting at 7am (but on that day, 7.20am). They provide homemade bread, boiled egg, Bhaji and puri, fried potato, fired vegetables, white bean in tomato sauce and yummy pancake! They also have fruits and cereal with milk.

We were provided with packed breakfast but it could've been better. Although a lot of options are available for breakfast in the restaurant, so that's not an issue.

The location was perfect . Phewa lake is visible from the roof.

There were some instances of some small cockroaches in the washroom.

The rooms, food, staff, maintenance, everything was spot on. When you spend a significant amount of money on a stay, you don't expect anything less. My family and I had the same experience. The food at the hotel was very good. The buffet breakfast was brilliant. The staff is very courteous and always keeps smiling. The hotel can arrange for airport pickup and even make travel arrangements for your visit to Pokhra sightseeing/ adventure activities. 5 mins drive from the airport.

the bed is gigantic and takes a lot of space which wouldn’t be a problem if it weren’t so big we kept hitting it and my left leg got totally destroyed! this things needs to be baby-proofed 😅 the lights in the rooms are too bright.

Staff: The staff were very much accommodating and they always make sure that they meet your needs. Location: It is situated in the heart of Pokhara lakeside so going around is not an issue. Cleanliness: Superb property! What more can I say? Facilities: They have the basic facilities that a property can offer for the value of money you are paying. I have no complains. I'm nitpicking but maybe they could add a few more items to the breakfast.

First off all the view of fewa lake from the hotel room, balcony and roof was fantastic. But the stars of the property was their staff. Special mention must go out to Mr.Ravidas who is a absolute machine and set up everything from white water rafting to paragliding even though we couldn't go through with the later for bad weather.

The amazing supports that mr Dahal and Ms Shivani provided us. The breakfast was okay. the view of the fishtail and annapurna range from the Room was splendid. The Hotel is located in a fine prominence.

No shower doors in bathroom, so water sprays around. I had to try 3-5 times to open the door each time, very glitchy. Broken mattress left outside the elevator door in the hallway.

Location, rooftop/views, living room included, breakfast included. Fair airport transportation fees. Staff were very sweet, responsive and helpful!

Beautiful location beds room were clean the shower door is really bad needs another door so the water doesn't come out when we take showers the restaurant breakfast is excellent and stuff are amazing Nepali people that work there they're amazing and very kind and helpful and understanding and very sweet they should change the carpets in the room and they should have a door in the bathroom that's the only complain and I have The hotel managers is very nice and helpful the night guy that works there he's excellent and the kitchen stuff and the girl and boy they're amazing

To me, Portland Hotel is the best place to stay in Pokhara and it felt like home throughout my time being there. For the first time, I stayed there with a friend just before and after doing the Mardi Himal Trek in January 2022. I loved the place and city so much, I extended my stay in Nepal and returned back from Kathmandu to relax and get to know it more. What stood out to me is the peaceful view above Lakeside from the roof terrace, the solid architecture and beautiful wooden furniture and the fantastic healthy breakfast (and dinner too). My room had a window that makes Phewa Lake look like a painting, which is my personal favourite detail. Above all, the entire team is so welcoming and supportive with any matters - Thanks so much again for everything!

the room was unclean and musty/smelly. There was mold on the shower curtain and in the shower, and it was difficult to breathe. The rugs in the room were very dirty.

DO NOT look at the hotels photos. Right outside where it shows bushes & trees it is actually now a construction site of a new hotel so the balconies on the front of the hotel face the builders! This has been going on for 1 year with no mention of this on the description. We asked if our room was facing this, they said yes but we could move tomorrow. As it happens the room we were in was not very clean, the shower flooded the bathroom & the sink was not attached. After speaking to the male supervisor he said we could move to the back of the hotel the next day at a charge of an extra 1000NPR per night as it was a family room as they don't have double rooms on the back of the hotel. There was no way we should have to pay when the room was not acceptable. We eventually moved to a family room (for no extra charge) on floor 4. we arrived back one day and there was all dirt over the bed which we noticed was coming from the A/C unit as it was filthy. Sushant immediatley came up to the room and said this was not acceptable and apologized and immediatley cleaned the unit himself, the bed sheets then needed to be changed due to the dirt. The roof top photos show a lovely terrace with tables & chairs however in reality everytime we went onto the roof the place is covered in laundry. The hotel rooms are in great need of being cleaned properly & maintenance improved. The hotel should advise that there is major construction to the side & front of the hotel. The hotel should be accountable for misleading customers with photos that do not reflect the truth. We asked to speak to a manager but they said they wasnt one.

The front of house staff were excellent (with the exception of the male supervisor) Sushant was excellent, he was very attentive and tried to sort problems out immediatley...and there were quite a few. The location in Pokhara is very central and a short walk to the lake.
