Amazing hostel lovely helpful staff ( if you need any assistance) , perfect location you can walk to the square centre, plenty of shops don’t need a transport. There is a nice cafe on the top floor of the hostel with a great view and superb service food is very tasty is well Laundry service available. This place is great funky friendly and feels very safe. Forgot to add rooms and bedding are nice and clean ! Highly recommended .

I did not like the Pashupatinath Temple it's mainly for Hindus and there are restrictions on foreigners and no Photography in certain places. It was NPR 1000 overpriced to see very little, harrassed from the moment I walked through the gate. It took me 75 minutes to walk there and I left after 5 minutes to leave. I wasted my day. Beware friendly locals there is an anterior motive behind every action, especially in the market area.

It's close to many amenities, such as local shops, restaurants, and bars. Monkey Temple is an easy walk from the hostel. Good Location.

super central location & the rooftop area is so good for chilling & meeting other travellers as well as getting work done. was the only one in my room most of the time so was super quiet and comfortable !! the staff also are so helpful and so friendly !!

Best hostel in Kathmandu. Very clean and perfect roof top to hang out. The staff is so nice, Prakash the manager showed us the city and we went for Tongba and very nice dinner.

Nothing really, one of the best hostels I have been in Nepal.

Nice hostel with private rooms and dorms, they are right in Thamel, the best location in Kathmandu, and there is an amazing rooftop with an amazing atmosphere and a bar with amazing food. The staff is also super friendly and helpful, I came for a few nights and ended up staying almost 10 days They also have secure space for parking!. I will definitely go back there!

The hotel has originated a pick up from airport as well as a very friendly welcome after midnight, we liked everything while we stayed when wherever you passed the reception you were greeted with Karan's smiles and he always willing to help us with all the questions. Besides , the room is well furnished with comfortable bed hot shower, breakfast & beverage are always good, location is in the center convenient for transportation. Of course, we would like to recommend to our friends or to thom will visit Kathmandu 😊

I had a good time at this hostel. the hostel is so clean staff is very kind and friendly the mattress is very comfortable they have rooftop restaurants they offer delicious meals. Prakash help me to book the hike for 4 nights 5 days which is really worth it. the cost is affordable and they have well experience guide which make my trip more enjoyable thank you for everything. I will be back soon .

Most of the top attractions were within walking distance, and the nearby public transportation options made getting around a breeze. The service at the hostel was exceptional. The staff were genuinely friendly and always ready to assist with a smile. Whether it was offering directions, suggesting must-see sights, or just checking in to make sure I was comfortable, their attentiveness really made a difference. The rooms were clean and cozy, providing a perfect retreat after a long day of exploring. If you're looking for a hostel with a prime location for sightseeing and a staff that truly cares about your experience, this is an excellent choice. I enjoyed everything about my stay!

I recently stayed at Rest Up , and I must say, the recent renovations have completely transformed the property! From the moment I walked into the stylish and modern lobby, I knew I was in for a great experience. The updated décor is fresh, elegant, and makes the whole hotel feel more luxurious. What truly made my stay special, however, was the friendly and attentive service. The staff went out of their way to ensure every aspect of my visit was perfect. The food at the hotel's restaurant was another highlight. The menu features a variety of delicious dishes, and every meal I had was excellent. Overall, this is a fantastic choice if you're looking for a comfortable and stylish stay with top-notch service and dining in an ideal location for tourists . I highly recommend it and look forward to returning soon!

All lovely

I had an awesome experience at this hostel, even better than a star hotel! The room was spacious and clean, with a beautiful view of the lush garden. The hot shower was a nice touch. I especially enjoyed the rooftop restaurant, which offered delicious local beers and food, including a great breakfast. A big thank you to Mr. Prakash, the hostel manager, who organized a fantastic 2-night, 3-day hike to Chisapani and Nagarkot at a great price. It was the best monsoon hike experience I've had. I would 100% recommend this lovely hostel.

It is a lovely hostel in Kathmandu. I had a comfy night with excess to the rooftop evening experience. Mr. Prakash, the manager, is an exceptional person to deal with. He managed my tour to Pokhara, Chitwan, and Lumbini at relatively low fares. I recommend everyone to consider Rest Up Thamel if you are traveling to Kathmandu and searching for an affordable place to stay.

There was no switch for the light in the dorm so the lights were on all night. Also, very loud music can be heard at night, someone was vacuuming from around 6am. Not the hostels fault but someone in the room was talking loudly on the phone, eating and watching shows on their phone throughout the night… There was only one bathroom/shower on my floor.

Central location, close to lots of shops. It’s down a dark side street but they have a security guard on the main road. Staff are friendly
