This is common especially in tourist areas, but there is a mark up on tours and transfers if you book through the hotel, if you're budget savvy shop around, if you don't mind paying a small amount more then the hotel was excellent at organising

Lovely hotel on the river, staff were friendly and knowledgeable, picked us up from the bus station and organised tours for us for safaris etc.

The shower in the room didn't work very well and it could have been a bit cleaner. But since the rest was so much better than expected we didn't care. If you ask, they offer to drop you off at the bus station - we found out too late but now we know;)

The staff is very nice, everybody cares that you feel good. The food eas very good. Location. Is perfect. The pictures are not so good, in real the hotel is much better. Best hotel we had in nepal. The pool is amazing, with very comfortable chairs/lounger. Pool is big and clean and with the 40 degrees we had very necessary. Directly on the river and close to the city. Would definitely come back there.

The bathroom was functional but could use some updating, and the screens on the windows had some holes that let mosquitoes in to our room. (There is air conditioning, so you could just leave the windows closed and be just fine, but my husband and I prefer fresh air at night so this was a detractor for us.)

The pool was nice, since it was pretty hot when we were there, but the pool is not heated so be prepared for a cold dip. The grounds were really well maintained, lots of gardens and trees. A rhino wandered through the hotel grounds at dawn one morning we were there (both amazing and terrifying). The staff was very helpful and made sure our excursions were booked and our transportation was sorted out.

Very good stay in hotel .. with good breakfast . Nice view room :. Nicely located resort . Programme was reasonable . The hotel MD Manish Giri is so helpful he plan all our jungle program (River walk , canoe ride , keep safari , Elephant safari , Tharu dance ) . We see the rhino on the bank of river just behind of the swimming pool which was the amazing.

The AC didn't seem to work in many rooms and I was told I'd be ok as there was a fan. When I said definitely not an AC room was found. There is construction on the site a new building is being built right next to the pool the pictures don't show this.

be careful with credit card sharing I paid full at the hotel but hotel misused and fraudulently charged amounts to the card which were refunded on complaints but I lost currency conversion charges for each charge and refund a very bad experience

The room felt like it was not a value for its price. Staff was not well trained The bedsheets and pillows left a little old

Though bathroom fittings were new, the overall impression of bathroom was just average. Old rusted door backside, broken lock at bathroom etc.

Pathetic AC, even after bringing this to the attention of the hotel staff, no action was taken. No telephones in the room every time had to move down to the reception for any requirements, there was no staff at the reception after 11pm.

Some overtime stay was definitely allowed to us post our check out time to relax, post the safari.

Hotel is exceptionally clean and the location is amazing, just right on the river bank and I enjoyed the beautifully view of sunrise and sunset. very peaceful, we really enjoyed our stay. staff was very helpful and very polite. hotel dose offer lots of activities and sightseeing programs, we will come back for more fun. very reasonable price.

Nothing actually - as it exceeded my expectation for the price I got to stay at this hotel.

Everything was so phenomenal. I would like to thank all the staff working at Hotel Riverside for making our stay very memorable and beautiful. Welcoming, clean and friendly staff. Mr. Manish Giri the Manager there had very good communication skills - explained us about all the wonderful things we could do at Chitwan National Park, and we did elephant safari and Jeep safari. We stayed at room B12 - it was very spacious and clean with view of Rapti river and chitwan national park. The restaurant was able to cater to all our foods request, they even went out of their way to offer us free desert on our last day which was so yummy. The hospitality, affordable price, ambience, friendly staff and prime location makes me want to go back to this place again. I’ll recommend this hotel to everyone I know.
