Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing. Very enjoyable stay
The ultimate place to relax and safari. I stayed here for three days / nights after 10 hectic days in Kathmandu and it was so lovely. From the minute you arrive to the minute you depart you are very well looked after by all the staff at the hotel. I stayed in a villa which was incredibly spacious and great value for money. The safari was great, I did a full day and half day with Tulsi as my guide who was extremely knowledgable. On the safari we saw Rhinos very close up to the Jeep, monkeys, and elephants. Highly recommended having a couple of hours relaxing by the pool when you arrive to really get you in the zone. Great place to stay and would recommend to anyone.

United KingdomThe only slight challenge was getting to the resort, but the hotel-arranged driver made it much easier and well worth it!
We were thoroughly impressed by every aspect of The Sanctuary. The resort is a peaceful retreat with stunning, well-kept grounds and cozy rooms that are even more beautiful in person than in the photos. The amazing breakfast each morning set the stage for a day of adventure, including a safari that was one of our best experiences ever—we saw rhinos, elephants, monkeys, a leopard, and nearly a tiger. The tours were well-organized, and the professional, attentive staff clearly care about supporting the local community. All in all, the exceptional value for money and seamless blend of comfort and adventure made our stay unforgettable.

SingaporeWe are a family of 4 and we stayed at the Sanctuary for Christmas Eve and Christmas, and it was truly magical. The atmosphere was beautiful, and every detail made our holiday memorable. We also went on a safari tour organized by the hotel, and it exceeded all expectations. The organization was flawless, and our guide was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend this incredible experience!

SpainNothing, this was a perfect stay for us as a couple :). We only stayed for two nights and we wished we could have stayed more!
My husband and I had an exceptional stay at this beautiful cottage right beside the Chitwan National Park. The cottage was built with attention to detail and using noble materials. It's beautifully maintained, and blended perfectly with the natural surroundings. The staff were incredibly hospitable, ensuring every aspect of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Waking up to the sights and sounds of the jungle was an unforgettable experience, making this stay a perfect blend of tranquility and adventure. Tulsi, our host and safari guide, was fantastic—his deep knowledge, friendliness, and professionalism truly enhanced our experience. Seeing rhinos up close was a once-in-a-lifetime moment we’ll never forget. The food was delightful, and the one-day safari tour was simply breathtaking. The location was truly serene, offering stunning views and the soothing sounds of nature all around. Highly recommended for anyone looking to reconnect with nature!

United KingdomOur two nights at Sanctuary were an exceptional experience, the facilities are even better in person, staff are highly accommodating and the food is great with lots of options available. Our guide for the activities was knowledgeable and engaging, and we were even upgraded to a villa on arrival (which was enormous!) Also, transport to and from the hotel was easy to arrange at late notice if needed.

SpainEverything was perfect!
Staying at the Sanctuary has been the most incredible experience in Nepal. The resort is stunning, so modern but also authentic built with local materials and practices. The staff is always one step ahead, anticipating needs before you even think to ask. What truly sets this resort apart is the staff's genuine kindness. Our jeep safari was an absolute highlight of the trip, but what made the experience truly exceptional was our fantastic guide, Tulsi, and driver. From the moment we set off, Tulsi’s knowledge and passion for wildlife were evident. He pointed out animals we would have never spotted on our own, sharing fascinating insights about their behaviors, habitats, and the surrounding environment. His enthusiasm was infectious, and it made each sighting feel even more special. We saw Rhynos, deers, wild boar, vultures, etc. I also have to mention the food! Every meal was fantastic, some in the main restaurant and some in our room. Even the safari pack lunch was delicious! Staying at the Sanctuary was more than just a getaway—it was an experience that left a lasting impact on our hearts and minds. Thanks Tulsi and team !

United Arab EmiratesWe loved everything at our stay at the Wildlife sanctury – the decor and layout of the hotel was well-fitting to the location, providing a grandstand to the nature of the surrounding area with views of the tranquile garden and pool area and the nearby local village. The entire staff was welcoming and very attentive, making sure we all had a very pleasant stay! The food was fresh and delicious, with fruits and vegetables coming from their own gardens! Mr. Tulsi and his team made sure we had a very memorable experience during our Jungle and River Safari. Mr. Tulsi was very knowledgeable and gave us plenty of facts about the Village life and the wildlife sanctuary jungle with its various wild animals and plants. We enjoyed the performance of the Tharu people which was organized from the hotel especially for us and a sunset picnic at the nearby river!

United Arab EmiratesThe location is extremely difficult to find and the poor quality of the roads make it almost painful to get there. There weren’t a lot of activity options and the Safari was underwhelming due to the limited variety of animals to see. Due to language issues or lack of organization and logistics in the kitchen, the serving of the plates was lacking. At every meal they would forget to bring one person’s order.
Staff was well intended and ready to help, however the level of English amongst the majority is very low, so communication is poor. The rooms are nice and roomy. Good bed.
