Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOur room was functional and cosy with everything we needed, just felt a little small and not so much light, though i believe this is the nature of these (very charming) buildings so it's not a problem, just an observation :)
The common spaces, garden and restaurant area are very pretty, a little peaceful enclave from busy thamel. Breakfast buffet was good and the bed was super comfy. The location is great and the staff are charming and helpful.

Absolutely amazing. Stayed in 5 different hotels in Thamel and this one was recommended to me by another trekker after EBC. Friendliest staff ever, they upgraded me even though they didn't have to, watched my stuff for 8h while I was exploring KTM after checking out, great breakfast, I could go on and on ... This hotel could compete in the U.S. or Europe tbh. 11/10 stars.

Everything was perfect ! Great location but also quiet thanks to the garden (and the rooms that are all facing it). Very comfortable rooms. And the best staff I ever had in any hotel in my life. Everyone was doing their best all the time and was always really nice (special mention to the receptionist that was working at night during our stay an who arranged us a good breakfast at 5 o'clock in the morning and to Suman for making all the other breakfasts awesome !

SwitzerlandWe were very happy with our stay at Taleju Boutique hotel. It was our second time staying at this hotel, and we appreciate its friendly staff and its quiet location with peaceful courtyard/garden, while still being centrally located in the otherwise bustling Thamel. The front desk staff were attentive and kindly stored our bags for no charge while we were away on a trek, and the manager ensured we were well looked after during our stay. We hope to come back next time we are in Kathmandu!

IndiaThey have plenty of options from the breakfast, and the rooms are big, cosy and spotless. Located in the Thamel area, it's a very happening place in Kathmandu. Almost all the tourist stay here. The hotel is minutes away from the city centre and Darbar Square.

SlovakiaAs i checked in I noticed the bathroom was not cleaned. The cleaning lady came by to clean the bathroom after I notified the receptionist. The water coming out of the taps in the bathroom and toilet was orange and as I spoke to the fellow guests, they had the same experience and were not sure wether or not was it safe to use the shower. I think this is something you should notify your guests about and if there are limitations in using the bathroom you should not charge a full price. I chose a different hotel to stay at after coming back from trekking... I ordered veggie burger at the hotel restaurant, it was not tasty either. All super oily.
I liked the location and the staff at the hotel was exceptional. They were super helpful and knowledgable .

IndiaThe water in our washroom, where we were staying, smelled bad. It was difficult to even wash our mouths. But other than that, everything else in the hotel was great. Supportive staff and cute stay.
It was in Thamel, walkable to the Garden of Dreams, the Narayhiti Palace, and the market area. The breakfast was simple but decent and filling. The pickup from the airport was arranged by the hotel and that was appreciated.
