I stayed 3 nights with my friend and we had a great time here. The owner lady of Tara guest house is very friendly and caring for her guests, she made us feel welcome and safe here. Its a simple room at the homestay but all what you need for few days safari. Free WiFi also.

Tara guest house is situated close to the town center but also far enough to enjoy quite, calm enviroment. It is close to the river where we could already find wild life (crocodiles and others) but it is safe. Guest house has nice terrase, from where we could observe working elephants walking the street. The staff is extremly nice, very helpful and with them we also had done the jungle walk, which was extraordinary experience. Definately take those 2 if you plan jungle walk.

The bed was a bid hard.

Lovely garden in a quite area. Very close to the river (opposite street) to watch the sunset. Family and hosts are extremely kind and helpful. On a good day, you might find a rhino wandering around the street.

Viki's brothers could learn a little bit more English, so they could communicate better with guests. Yes, it's not that a big deal either. They all manage.

It was one of the best hostels I had been in, just the family and Viki was so nice. I feel like at home, the food was delicious very comforting food. The location for me it's perfect, 20 min from the center so its quiet and peaceful place. You can meet nice people that also look for these peaceful places. With Viki we went to feed some elephant that are in best conditions (without chains) so it was magical. Best wishes to you,

Everything about our stay at the Tara guest house was spot on. We arrived to a beautiful home like place with friendly people, beautiful garden and clean room with ac, fly nets, plugs and clean bathroom. Greeted with lemonade, they kept us stocked with cold mineral water that I could use to refill my bottles and save plastic. Oh and a free walk to the village for sunset was slovenly. The food was delicious and better than any restaurant you can find on the strip in sauhara and much cheaper too. They offered us breakfast before our early bus and took us to the station in their jeep. All in all it was an amazing stay

I was really happy with my stay in Tara Guesthouse! Vicky (the owner) is an amazing guy who is always ready to help you, to give you more info or just to have a nice talk with. The place is perfect for a walk to the center, to take a look at the river, to have a nice view of the nature... The room has everything you need. Highly recommended!

It is a bit far from the tourist bus station, but still walkable distance (about 30min, and there were taxis waiting if needed) Didn’t get any hot water for 3 days 🥲

The room was nice and big. Vicky and his family were really super nice and made my stay feel very special, thanks so much! I really enjoyed the village tour that Vicky took me to on the day of my arrival, it was very interesting. They can help you book your tours, bus tickets, you can rent a bike there and they can prepare a really good packed lunch to bring with you on your tours. Overall really a great experience 😊

WiFi signal in room 8 is poor signal but otherwise great.

Location is ideal. Close to town and safari activities but off the main strip so less traffic and noise. Room was spacious and comfortable and the staff were awesome.

My friend and I had such a wonderful time at Tara’s Guest house. As everyone has already said it, it is a wonderful family in which everyone goes out of their way to help and support you. They are always smiling! From the didi who made our rooms, to aunty who took us around the village on our first day, to Vicky who is always there to help you with any kind of bookings, we are grateful for their warmth and hospitality! :)

Such wonderful, warm-hearted and generous hosts. I booked for one day and stayed for nine! I found plenty to do in Sauraha outside the park, that’s why I extended my stay. I ate delicious home-cooked food and was made sincerely welcome. Tara guest house is in a peaceful location, slightly off the main drag. It’s just a few steps across the road to the river, which is a lovely place to hang out and watch birds. My room was clean and simple with hot water. I was also greeted at the bus station after a long journey from KMD and dropped at the station when I left. Thanks for everything, I had a really memorable stay :)

Tara guesthouse is great value for money in a perfect location for visiting Chitwan National Park. Vicky was an amazing host - he picked me up from the bus station and took a group of us on a guided walk around the village. He also helped organise an incredible walking safari (a must do if you visit Chitwan!) and recommended other things to do/see nearby. Rooms are also v clean and comfortable. Thank you Vicky and family for a lovely stay!

Absolutely wonderful family. Fantastic sized rooms. They really go out of their way to do anything and everything for you. We did the walking/canoing safari and had such a good time. We saw a plethora of wildlife! The location is great too. I was a solo traveller but never felt lonely once!
