Why do modern shower stall not have any shelf where you can keep the bath gel?! Itis a pain to keep the shampoo on the floor.......

The villa is beautiful old world right in the middle of Thamel , next to Third Eye, Yin Yang and a fabulous ice cream place Silk as well the most magical book shop called Pilgrims which has four floors of books and every other thing you can imagine.. The caretaker and help were sincere and helpful. The room was large and the bed very comfortable, with lots of charging points located sensibly near the bed, at the desk and near the electric kettle. The lobby area of the Villa is full of lovely old trees, very quiet even though it is right off the main street. The breakfast is via a coupon you can redeem at the Pumpernickle bakery down the road which was just amazing with many delicious options like a healthy yoga bowl and a full English breakfast.

The location was very good and there was a staff standby at the receiption the whole night. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The quality of breakfast they arranged at a bakery shop was very good.

Cold showers and no coffee or bar. It's just a room so if that's what you want it's fine.

Breakfast is at Pumpernickel which was fine, except there is no coffee in the room that I would want to drink. The people were friendly enough. It's a beautiful old villa that has been renovated and needs a touch up here and there. The outside area needs some work with a run-down lean-to at the end and just paving. Our room was cold, there is a heater which helped. The shower water tended to run cold if you shower in the morning as it's mostly solar. It would be great in the summer months. For the price I felt it was a little over, but right in the middle of Thamel so handy for amenities.

Water in the morning was not really hot, but hot in the evening.

BF in the near bakery a few blocks away was ok, but the quality of the bakery has seen better days. We had the suite room which was nice and spacey, would definitely come again.

Great location - very close to all the action of Thamel but down a little side street which made it very quiet. Lovely characterful rooms. Very helpful staff who sorted out a taxi for me even during a festival when hardly anyone was working.

Lovely property. A 100 year old villa, maintained beautifully. Very courteous, sweet and caring staff, excellent breakfast organised at the Pumpernickel bakery nearby. Will definitely stay there again next time!

Good and central hotel in thamel, but quiet at the same time. The room was spacious and comfortable. You can have hot water and use AC to heat the room if you feel cold during winter. Breakfast was good and you can have different options. Staff was very polite. Recommended.

The shower was a little problematic and there was no hot water most of the time (but this is the modus operandi of the country and the weather, nothing they can do about it)

The place is well-located and the staff is super helpful and polite, specially Rajiv and the young woman at the reception. Their breakfast café is really good.

- shower water does not get hot - Luke warm at best - breakfast is in a completely separate location to the hotel about 5’mins walk away - Wi-Fi did not always work in my bedroom but staff were immediately accommodating and provided an alternative network that worked perfectly

Thamel villa heritage hotel has excellent location, it’s a budget friendly heritage stay, Prem at the reception was extremely nice and helpful, the rooms are tastefully done and cozy. one suggestion, take a package without breakfast, as the hotel doesn’t offer breakfast in their premises, you have to go to a different venue. having said that, there are amazing places that open up really early in Thamel and one can easily have their choice of breakfast there.

The bathroom layout was strange. The vanity was awkward, not very functional and right next to a mattress on the floor. The toilet room was on a landing with many steps going down to the shower which did not have a light, so I found a nightstand light and brought it down for light. I couldn't figure out the lighting situation. Many of the outlets would not allow a plug to stay on.

The bed was very comfortable.
