The architecture and heritage of the building, the furnishing and decor in the room. The gardens and terraces were exceptional. A space for every guest to find a secluded spot to enjoy the peace. Staff were very helpful. Great buffet breakfast. It was a shame we didn't get a view because of the weather but it still was an exceptional stay

The property is absolutely gorgeous, tucked away in the mountains with stunning views of Himalayas. It’s so peaceful, designed in the style of the old Newari architecture. Food was amazing too! What totally made our stay was the friendly and helpful staff. Ganesh went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and accommodated. We’re definitely coming back!!!

Everything really good by local standards; I was promised a taxi to collect me from Kathmandu - which never arrived. Had to find my own.....

Though the roads to the location were poor (not unusual in Nepal), the location is exceptionally good. I had a room with a wide view of the high Himalayas with Everest in the distance. As good as the Taj Mahal for impact and amazement. People lovely, food good; gardens lush and magnificent.

Nothing to say here, It was perfect!

Just fabulous in every way, beautiful large rooms spotless incl bathroom with very hot water and good water pressure. Really great and varied breakfast, incl homemade muesli, homemade yoghurt plus honey from the beehives in the hotel’s garden, together with all the other standard hot and cold dishes. Staff really really friendly helpful and kind. Wonderful terraced gardens to sit in aswell as a rooftop viewing and sitting area. Great food at very good value prices. Lots of advice for walks and excursions in the surrounding area. We were celebrating my husbands 60th and although I didn’t mention that they’d obviously spotted his date of birth from his passport and produced a beautiful cake that evening after dinner! Would highly highly recommend.

I truly think this was maybe the most memorable and amazing hotel I have ever stayed at. Maybe not in terms of high end luxury, but rather in terms of beauty, atmosphere, comfort, and elegance. The whole place is absolutely dreamlike. Views are amazing, whether cloudy or nor, the patio garden is the most wonderful mixture of impeccable care and nature’s abundance, and the building itself is a charming mixture of old fortress architecture and mid 20th century styles. The room was huge, bed large, sturdy and comfortable, i had a shared balcony with mountain views, and the whole place was super clean from start to finish. Staff was lovely and professional, and there was plenty of them. Food great! And the whole place was so quiet, not a songle car around. Truly recommend this place. I miss back already and hope to bring also my family here some day.

The access road to the hotel for the last few meters is in pretty bad shape. Not sure how cars get up there in the winter and monsoons. But that's not on the hotel it's a common road that needs to be paved by local authorities/ municipality. Hopefully soon.

Hotel, location, ambiance is top notch. Peaceful, beautiful and everything you can imagine for a hill resort. Staff is polite, helpful and the food is great too. We stayed in a cottage and the location was beautiful with views of the mountains. The property is well cared for, beautiful flowers and outdoor seating.

The road leading to the resort is not in a good condition and one needs to go through a stretch of broken road.

The staff is very helpful and welcoming to their property. It is built in a huge area and one can enjoy roaming around. The rooms are good, clean and spacious, along with most of their facilities. A lot of seating in the open area to enjoy sitting and relaxing. Great food options are also available. A nice view of Himalayan ranges can be seen if the weather is clear.

Something could be improved, in order to reach a fair quality-price deal: our double room was big, but without phone to call reception, and no hairdryer. Moreover, the Wifi connection was not good, slow and interrupting every now and then. And also power went away a couple of times over our two nights stay.

We enjoyed so much the nature around the place and its beautiful structure. The resort is big, with rooms and cottages, all immersed in the beautiful Nagarkot forest. There are also some stupas around, which make the place really magical.

The Fort Resort is a great place with a wonderful view of the Himalayas. We were lucky and caught a beautiful sunrise. The view was also possible directly from the room. The staff was very nice. I only had a problem with the lack of hot water. The kitchen deserves a big thank you, the food is perfect. The atmosphere was magical overall. The Cascade Gardens were an oasis of calm for us.
