Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandThe lovely Tibetan-style hotel is a hidden haven of calm in the bustling Boudha neighborhood. The rooms are spacious—slightly dated, but very clean. The staff are friendly and attentive. The rooftop restaurant serves delicious local and Western dishes, and the view from the rooftop is breathtaking.

United KingdomThe room was quite dark even with the lights on. No reading light on each side of the bed. The fridge didn't work. The shower curtain over the bath so short that the water went all over the floor.
Very well located hotel just 5 minutes walk from the stupa. The room was spacious and faced the back of the hotel away from the noisy main road. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of storage space. There was a safe and a kettle. The room was mainly quiet. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

MalaysiaNothing that I didn't like about the Hotel. It is old but it is still okay for me. I love the traditional design of the Hotel.
There were 11 of us staying at this Hotel for 1 night before flying off to Paro, Bhutan. So we were not able to enjoy their breakfast. I requested for the breakfast to be changed to lunch since our Room Rate has included breakfast. The Hotel was very kind to us and gave us complimentary staff. The Hotel also arranged for airport pick up and transfer for us at a reasonable price. From the Hotel, it is within walking distance to Boudha Stupa. We love this Hotel so much. The Hotel restaurant has a beautiful view of the Boudha Stupa too. I shall strongly recommend this Hotel to travellers who might want to spend some time at Boudha Stupa and its nearby area. The Hotel Front Desk Staff were well trained and extremely helpful. One of the tall guy with Chinese Face helped me to cancel my dinner reservation at one of the nearby restaurant just because I was too lazy to walk to the restaurant for the cancellation. Sorry I forgot about his name.

United StatesThe boutique rooms are large and beautifully furnished. Excellent buffet breakfast in their rooftop restaurant, which has views of the great stupa and Himalaya. The staff are first rate. The location in perfect for those who want to be in the midst of Boudhanath, which is a thriving Buddhist neighborhood, rather than in the tourist center of Thamel.

United StatesMy friends and I loved this hotel and always choose to stay here for a visit to the Boudnath area in Kathmandhu. It is a luxury hotel offering very comfortable rooms and we often find that we have gotten upgraded to a suite when arriving. The staff are exceptional and extremely helpful!

United StatesThere was nothing I can complain about!
Hotel Tibet international is the best hotel in the Boudhha Area! Maybe even best hotel in Kathmandu along with having a great location right next to The Stupha which was a 1 min walk away! The hotel is ina busy area but very well secluded. I stayed there for about a Week and all I can say is great things about the hotel! First of just wanted to thank the staff and management team for the upmost respect towards my guest, family, and I! Very respectful and always made my mood better. The food is also amazing! I tried everything from the momo to the amazing spaghetti, the 7th heaven bar and even the breakfast was amazing, with a huge portion! Room service was also included which is always a plus, along with the clean and air condition rooms they had that was comfortable as well! For anyone traveling out of the country or even locals staying here I very much do Recommend this hotel to everyone. I actually even stayed at the Hyatt hotel which was over priced and not that well compared to Hotel Tibet. When ever I come to Nepal I will be staying at this hotel and this hotel only! Well priced, great staff, great food, AMAZING VIEW! And most of all very comfortable and clean.

United KingdomLeaving!
The staff are absolutely lovely and really helpful, the service we received was exceptional. The hotel itself is beautiful,it is clean and in an ideal location for visiting Kathmandu. Also, the price we were quoted when we reserved it,was the price we paid, there were no hidden extras unlike some hotels that often add on an extra unexpected charge. The breakfast is amazing, especially on the rooftop terrace with the view of the Stupa. We would highly recommend anyone to stay here.
