Very nice set up. Build on a hill side so you have a good view. They have an excellent restaurant. Rooms are nice and clean, so are the showers. The staff is amazing

7:30 in the morning the cleaning personel would enter the room and turn on the light. Luckily it was only for q couple of minutes

The upstairs mixed dorm has an incredible view of Kathmandu, however, there are no curtains so you may be woken up early unless you have an eye mask.

The staff were incredibly friendly and always made me and my friends feel welcome. The stay is a 5 minute walk from the main tourist strips in Thamel. The food, rooms, beds and staff were exceptionally excellent. They provide cheap laundry services, free printing services and will help you book bus tickets around Nepal. Wander Thirst is an incredible hostel and to me, feels like a second home.

You aren’t allowed to bring food at all, I understand that you shouldn’t eat your own food in the restaurant, but it would have been nice to have a little area to eat your own food.

I had a hard time understanding how to regulate the temperature of the showers but I finally mastered it. The toilets are sometimes covered with paper because the pipes in Nepal can't support it and it is difficult for some people to understand that you have to throw the waste in the baskets, but this is not the fault of the accommodation of course.

I loved my stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, you don't hear the motorcycles or the sound of the busy thamel neighborhood, inside the hostel is a peaceful place with a waterfall and many plants, hammocks, bonfires and places to relax. There is also a restaurant with super friendly staff. The beds in the shared dormitories have privacy, light and plug with two usb input. They also keep your stuff for free if you go to the surroundings or some trekking and then come back. We stayed with my sister for two weeks and we will definitely repeat!

wifi is the only problem here. You may use your own cellular wifi, it's quite affordable in Nepal. And no towel provided

Location is very near to airport and bus station to Pokhara. the bus station to Pokhara only 5 minutes walk only. Don't bother the touts to bring you to the bus station..they provide airport pickup and drop.off but it's best if you can use indrive apps or book a prepaid taxi from airport. It's a lot cheaper. The price of one dorm room is affordable, the check in is very fast. They have a huge common area to hangout with the rest of the travellers. They provide good food and beers and drinks. Feels like you don't need to get out from the hostel. The environment is quiet in the afternoon..can just lay down at the common place and do your own thing. The reception is friendly. I arrived 5 am in the morning and they let me come in the common place to wait as that town opens up around 630am. They have a very special room where you can view the city. I wake up looking at the stunning view. Toilets are clean They have in house trekking company, u may opt for them to book a hike.

So from the get go the tour guides ask you every day which hike are doing, do you want to book with us and felt abit full on. I get it’s a business and people need to make money though I don’t really want to be asked multiple times especially when I’m trying to enjoy a morning coffee. I would recommend at check in just letting people know where to go as I know a few people in the hostel felt they needed to avoid some of the guides especially after they’d been on the beers.

Sometimes the communal areas weren't as clean as they could have been, but wasn't a massive issue. There weren't many activities to get people together so at times it felt quite quiet.

We enjoyed our stay here in Kathmandu, staff were very friendly and welcoming. The facilities on offer were great and everything was relatively clean. Food was good and great selection on the menu.
