Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyEverything was great
Pradeep was amazing his family was ultra kind and helpful we didn’t plan to stay that long but we just felt at home and stayed longer. I can hardly recommend his place he was a truly kind soul, genuinely trying to help as far as he would. If you find this place do not hesitate to stay there you won’t regret.

Lots of smiles everywhere. At my last night in Nepal, I stayed in Pradeep's guest house. Lovely decoration, good shower, and perfect location. Close to Durbar Square but still quiet at night since it is in a little street behind. Recommended!

United StatesI wish I could have stayed longer! Pradeep is a wonderful host… he was always available and could anticipate your needs… showing up with a bottle of water, or a little snack with tea. He could not be more gracious, kind, or hospitable.

United KingdomEverything! So much effort has gone in to making this place perfect. The room we had was lovely, very spacious lovely decorations, nice bathroom with a hot shower and super clean! The owner and his family are so helpful he took us up to his roof terrace to see some amazing views of the mountains, we were so lucky how clear the day was and also cooked us a great breakfast. The location was also perfect, so close to Dunbar square and really easy to get to the airport.

NetherlandsVery friendly owner he helped us with everything. He took the time to explain everything you can do in town, arranged the taxi and bus to chitwan and gave tips what to do in lumbini and chitwan. Free upgrade for our room, room was clean, warm water, perfect location close to the square. For me the hotel was easy to find,it is excactly where it says it is on google map... we also got a welcome drink and snack. Free bottles of water. And I really appreciated that we got breakfast at 5:45 am before we needed to get the bus. We would definitely come back. Thanks again!

The proprietor Pradeep and family were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the accommodation was wonderful, very interesting in traditional style ( 300 year old Newari windows for example) and also clean. Included breakfast was unexpected and delicious. Served on the terrace it provided a good opportunity for solo traveller to chat over fresh percolated coffee. The location was brilliant for staying in Patan with Durbur Sq less than 5 min walk. The immediate area was quiet with local homes , big plus.. So different an experience to other trips staying in Thamel, felt like staying with friends in their lovely Newari home.

ThailandThe WIFI in my room is not stable. The signal is good in other areas of the hotel tho.
The hotel itself is great with its traditional style and cleanliness. What impressed me the most is the owner and staff. They are so kind to welcome me with bamboo soup and snack and even guide me to many places without asking. The location is so good too, near the Durban Square and many good places. I highly recommend. This is one of the best hotels in Patan.

United KingdomThere was no air con and the fan was pretty noisy but a small price to pay for such wonderful hospitality!
We were greeted with a welcome drink and snack, our hosts couldn’t do enough for us throughout our stay. Breakfast was included which was a bonus. Lovely traditional style home with quirky and historic room- plus and nice and quiet.

SpainThis guest house is amazing, it is the second time I stay with them. The family is really welcoming, you really feel at home. The house is a beautiful old house made into a small guesthouse, it is quiet, in the middle of Patan, a lovely neighborhood in Kathmandu. I strongly recommend staying here if you want to feel home, to rest, and to enjoy a beautiful place. The beds are amazing, they provide mosquito net for a good sleep, the breakfast is homemade just on time, and if you need anything they will help you find it at all time. It is a gem in Nepal, do not hesitate to go! :)

United KingdomIncredible hospitality and attention to detail. If you want the experience of staying with a Nepali family, somewhere with character where you feel more like a guest than a consumer, this is a great option (whilst also with boutique level quality rooms which are tastefully appointed). The host family went so much beyond what I expected, offering delicious breakfasts, snacks and dinner. Would definitely stay again if in Nepal

United KingdomExceptional place to stay in Patan. On arrival I was given a warm welcome and shown to my room, which had a large comfortable bed, hot shower, seating area and balcony. I loved the style and decorations in the room and it was really comfortable. I had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the accomodation and all of the meals were absolutely delicious, and I especially enjoyed having breakfast in the sun on the rooftop terrace in the morning. The location was also great as it is only 5 minutes walk to Durbar square but the rooms are very quiet at night. I especially appreciated how friendly and helpful Pradeep and his family were which made me feel very welcome as a solo traveller. Overall, it was an absolutely lovely place to stay and I would highly recommend- I definitely hope to return!
