I wish there was a hairdryer for every room - they only had one for sharing and it was constantly lent out. Also, not about the hotel per se, but you’ll hear vehicles honking and dogs barking even past midnight.

It was clean and comfortable. I especially liked the hot water, water pressure and the wifi (it dropped at times but was sufficiently reliable). Oh and for the complimentary breakfast, the eggs were yummy! The staff are friendly and helpful and the manager Raj even helped to arrange a ride to the bus station (extra service). Take note there are no toiletries so bring your own. Oh and that there is no daily housekeeping but I was fine with that for a short stay.

Fantastic location, helpful and friendly staff willing to accommodate any and all requests. Big rooms, good wifi, pleasant rooftop, varied breakfast options all at a very good value. Right in Thamel but down a quiet side street so peaceful than other spots. Highly recommend.

Usually dont think of giving a 9 or 10 rating to a property, but this place deserves it. One of the best places we have stayed in among all the hotels ever, personally. Located in the heart of thamel in a quiet street. The best part of the place is the service level. The staff are always very courteous and happy to help. The breakfast was quite sumptuous and good. Would stay again in this place without a 2nd thought. Keep up the great service... :)

The staff were friendly, helpful, and considerate. The owner was available at all times and was very responsive. The hotel had a friendly and positive vibe and I would definitely recommend. Also the included breakfast was delicious!

Great location. The staff are really friendly and always on hand to help. I appreciated the free airport pickup and the fact they can also book busses and transport for you throughout Nepal. I think I'll always stay here when I come to Kathmandu in the future 👍🏼 can't beat it for the price Ps - got to try the momos at Old Everest Momo centre across the road! They are the best in town without a doubt.

Great top floor room. Nothing to complaint about. Much preferred over standard chain hotels with bland features as this hotel has character. Manager Raj and his staff were incredibly helpful and guided me throughout the trip.

The staff are absolutely incredible. If they said they were going to do something for you...IT WAS DONE! They always had time to talk and their smiles were from the heart. The location is excellent to walk in the lanes and streets in Thamel. The breakfast was great and plenty.

it was a last minute decision to book this property but I m glad I did it there was complimentary airport pick up although we booked last minute very good property and clean rooms hot water and all facilities up to the mark very close to Thamel mkt staff and esp Rajendra very good guided us well for sightseeing and arranged car for travel to Pokhara we had food at the restaurant pala that too was tasty

Everyone at Hotel Yambu was very kind and helpful! The staff as well as the owner helped with all our questions. We got picked up from the airport and the owner even helped arrange a bus to our next location. The location of the Hotel was great, right in the touristic center of Thamel but still quiet.

There's nothing to not like about this place. Obviously, there are more expensive options outside which may provide better facilities. But the warmth that you will get in this place is not easily replicable.

Breakfast - standard fare but fulfilling Lunch / Dinner - the hotel has its own multi-cuisine restaurant and the food was exceptionally good and reasonably priced. The staff went above & beyond to accommodate our requests and on one occassion, even cooked up something that we wanted which was not on the menu! Location - at the heart of the tourist district in Thamel Staff - Excellent, that's the word...they will give you the "homestay" feeling even in a hotel. But this was true through our entire trip across Nepal; the Nepali people really know how to make their guests feel welcome. After my trip, I even sent my very aged parents over to Nepal on the same itinerary, that's how confident I was of the Nepali people taking care of them. And of all the folks we interacted with across the two trips, Raj (owner of Yambu), always gave us the comfort feeling that we were in known territory, even though it was a different country! I have travelled a lot and cannot say this for any other place or person!
