Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Be careful to book trekking packages because prices are too high compared with what you can find elsewhere.

Furnishings are creative but very basic and not very good maintained. For that a bit too expensive. Also the prices for the food in the restaurants are high concerning the quality of the rooms.
Atmosphere is really great, staff very welcoming, friendly and attentive. There are a lot of common spaces and also a big common kitchen for self-containment. The food is very good and diverse. There is even a vegan restaurant. The view from the roof top restaurant is spectacular.

I enjoyed my stay in the Yoga hostel. The common area is very cozy and the staff is very friendly, also an amazing restaurant on rooftops. Good for it's price. Thanks 🙏

Good for budget travellers, also very comfortable and it was very wonderful to have a great hotel. The staff are awesome and helpful. Thanks to the receptionist for making our stay wonderful and memorable here. Definitely coming back.

From the moment I stepped from the gate I was greeted with an amazing level of hospitality. The rooms that I have got has an amazing view. All the plants,arts and colourful flags are very peaceful. Will definitely stay here in the future.

A hotel in the heart of thamel where you get to explore the city shops is the biggest advantage of being in this property. Staff on the reception went all the way to make sure we are happy and having comfortable stay. The rooftop is also the plus point to stay in this property really love being in this place. Surely deserve multiple visit:))

The fact I can't stay longer...
I adore Yog. This place is "a feeling". You sleep good. I wake up smiling everyday. The staff are OUTSTANDING. The decor is tooo beautiful. I was hungover one day and thought I was gonna die. Schrooty looked after me soooo much.. I feel like family here.. My room always smells good too..

Cleanliness, comfortable beds and beautiful room. The hospitality of the hotel staff was awesome. They handle our luggage during our treak very well. The staff treated us with respect and made sure that our needs were addressed. Bathroom was specious.Bed was soft and warm. Thanks to a very beautiful front desk staff.

Yog Hostel is just right if you want to spend a chilled and relaxed time in the center of Kathmandu. The hostel offers a huge terrace, where you can spend your time all day and even has its own restaurant / bar in it. All rooms are colorful painted and lovely furnished what causes a familiar and personal atmosphere. When staying in Yog Hostel you will immediately feel at home and will for sure have a good time with nice people, veg food and long evenings above of the city lights. We already came back once and surely will again!
