The owners clearly take great pride in their property. The layout was excellent, the gym and guest lounge were really nice touches. Spa’s in every room! Made you feel really special without being pretentious. Very central and a short walk to everything.

Venetian blinds near kitchenette - just felt that they did not afford total privacy as you could probably see into the bathroom from outside.

Well presented, very clean, comfortable and quiet. Warm! Friendly hosts. Modern and well planned set up inside the room. Combined washing machine/ dryer was a bonus and saved us time and effort. Convenient location, short walk to CBD and eateries. Off street parking was handy.

We found the room a little warm the first night and couldn't find a thermostat or heater, but we just kept the window open the second night and it was fine :)

A well appointed room, spotlessly clean and modern facilities, with pleasant decor. Really helpful and cheerful hosts who explained everything clearly. Free unlimited wifi was a bonus :)

The shampoo was said luxury, but it was certainly a pain to try and squeeze it out of the cartridge

Great jacuzzi and cosy room but slightly expensive Such a lifesaver; our phone's sim card was not working. So lucky we found a sewing kit with a needle to get some sand out of our sim card slot as we were returning home to auckland that day.

The entire property was immaculate. Such a feel of luxury and care from the moment you walk in the front doors. The decor of the room was beautiful and warm and snug during cool rainy weather. The lounge area was a bonus and the tiny gym was surprisingly good for our short stay fitness needs. Really looking forward to staying at Bluestone again in the future.

beautiful location, so close to city center we could just walk everywhere, very clean and comfortable bed and service was amazing. the couple who is the hosts are lovely and very friendly. the jacuzzi bath was and added benefit ❤️

Beautifully appointed in soothing blue-gray tones. Pristine, well maintained, modern, perfection. Loved the jacuzzi tub, monogrammed linens and bathrobes. Best hotel in all NZ so far. Loved our 3 night stay at BG!

This is not a dislike - but given the proximity to the University you may hear the odd rowdy student in the small hours. But as Bluestone is set up off the road it’s not such an issue. I do hope the young man called Ollie did not climb on the nearby roof as his very intoxicated mate repeatedly yelled at him to do. Bluestone provides ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. This is not a dislike, but a FYI.

I booked Bluestone on George as Fable, my normal Dunedin hotel, was booked out. I didn’t have any particular expectations, but I was wowed by how immaculately clean Bluestone is, with quality fittings. Fantastic location that’s an easy walk to Forsyth Barr stadium and an ideal spot for family visiting student children in North Dunedin. My 4th floor room had an incredible view and I like the way the property is set back from the road.

Great property, quite new. Facilities superb, they thought of nearly everything. Beds comfortable. Bathroom, clean and bright with spa bath. Kitchen had everything needed plus a washing machine.
