Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaI stayed on the same level as the spa, so there was a bit more "floor traffic" than I think there would have been on other levels.
The room was beautiful! It was a lot bigger than I was expecting, but it had a nice little seating area where I could drink my coffee that wasn't just the bed or the desk. I enjoyed using the free shuttle in and out of the CBD proper, and the location of the hotel was really convenient for tour pick ups and the like.

AustraliaShower didn't work, I had to take a bath: no hardship as filled with hot water in 2 minutes flat, but I did inform housekeeping and they didn't fix it for the next morning. Also didn't replenish the mineral water in the room.

New ZealandShower in our room was small. You step up into the tub and the shower is over the tub. My husband is tall and this did not fit him well at all. Ended up using showers in the gym and pool to get a decent one
This place is amazing!! Facilities are awesome. Loved the pool and spa plus the sauna and steam rooms. Breakfast was the highlight. The buffet at this place is probably the best I have experienced in NZ. I can't wait to come back again.

New ZealandNot really sure that the new rewards program - Brilliant - is really that brilliant. On our previous award level we were able to get check outs as late as 4 pm but that is no longer the case. This was always a big drawcard for us as we are very regular customers at Cordis Auckland. Dining discounts are OK but we very rarely dine in at the Hotel.
We had a lovely corner room in the Pinnacle Tower. It felt spacious which was nice. Very comfortable bed and a delicious breakfast served by a friendly member of staff.

AustraliaWe ended up with very sore legs from walking back and forth from the waterfront - we only used the shuttle once which was silly of us. We thought the breakfast was overpriced, when you just wanted to eat moderarely.
Quiet room, excellent friendly staff - nothing was too much trouble.

Australiathe beds were too soft for our liking and the aircon didnt seem to cope so we were lucky we went in march when it was not too hot. Also reception staff takes too long to action requests for example we checked out and asked for our car and they told us it was coming when in fact they have not communicated to the concierge that we needed the car. so we waited for half an hour and my husband just went straight to the concierge and they didnt even know about it. so we just asked them for the key as we already have seen our car parked at the back of the hotel and we walked with our bags there and did it ourselfs. it was quite far from the city and the places around there were not so nice for dinner or breakfast so we ended up having to take the bus to go to the city to eat there...location was not the best as it seems to cater just for students.
The rooftop pool and spa are amazing and my teenage girls and I truly enjoyed them. also the complimentary bus to and from the city made our stay so much nicer as we were able to have fun in the city without worrying how to get back to the hotel. the concierge service was amazing with the valet parking option but i would have liked to be told it was $50 per night so we could have made an informed decision as there were so many other parking choices nearby very cheap and undercover as our car was just parked on the street behind the hotel.

New ZealandThere is a $10 delivery charge for any in room dining - the prices are already a bit inflated (as per!) but the additional delivery charge is pretty unfair.
The room was great, very comfy bed! The pool and spa was a treat, and the gym was well equipped. The dining locations were great too, a bit on the pricier side but that comes with the territory of a nicer hotel.

AustraliaShower over the bath is not great for older people. No non slip mat. Stayed in 9 different hotel/ motel accommodations on this holiday and this was the only one with shower over bath including a second accommodation in Auckland CBD. Long steep walk down to Queen St shopping. Our room was as far away from the lifts as you get get - end of corridor on opposite side of building. For these reasons we would not stay again.
Clean comfortable rooms.
