Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

A bit cramped. A/C was weak but at night there were enough windows to provide a good breeze.

A lot of thought, care and love has gone into setting up a cosy and relaxing room with ensuite. I really appreciated the little details such as the sleepy tea and essential oils lamp, along with the coffee in the morning. Very nice space to spend a night in :)

Nothing negative really, just an information that after 10 pm you have to be very quiet so the kids can sleep. Might be good to know for some. :)
Lovely accommodation, nicely furnished and decorated with great attention to detail. The little table outside is a great place for a little breakfast snack. And the dog is so sweet and was always keen to get some scratches!

I personally found the bed too soft/saggy. Not sure if that’s just the type of mattress or not, but my back was sore each morning. I prefer a firmer mattress - personal preference. Also I was disappointed to discover that the Airconditioning was central ducted Airconditioning so there was no controller in my room to be able to control the temperature. Luckily the first night was one of the cooler nights we’d had in January, but the next night was quite warm and I struggled to sleep in the heat. Given I had filtered my search by properties that had Airconditioning, it was an important component for me. I think this should be made clear on the listing.
It had everything I needed for a short two night stay. Great location, really good setup, and despite being a room in the host’s house, I felt like I had ample privacy. I could barely hear the hosts in the rest of the house. The area was lovely and quiet, and I enjoyed a coffee on the patio in the morning. The hosts were very friendly in their communication, and very accommodating.

I didn’t dislike anything, my only suggestion would be for a facecloth in the bathroom.
The room was better than expected. Very roomy, comfy King size bed. Clean and Warm. Lots of pillows and the tea coffee fridge was perfect.

Absolutely nothing. The entire stay, facilities & hosts were spectacular & I would 100% recommend & stay again
Even though it is a part to the main house, the whole space is very private with your own walk way in & fence separating the main space from your space.

No instructions, not even a biscuit, only coffee was coffee maker. Fridge was noisy.

I wouldn't say I like to park my expensive car on the street, and there is a driveway next to each other's house, so there is no parking space on the street either, The landlord should allow one car park on their property. They have space for that.

There is no hair dryer and hair conditioner. And there is no closet to hang your clothes.
I like that the place is quiet and accessible to town/beach. The room smells nice and clean.
